"I have no idea how to do a Genome." Vance says flatly, his arms crossed "I only do the physical kind of work. Examining limbs and muscles, finding weak spots, treating wounds, that kind of thing" Vance says, looking at the spore laying there "I'd like to examine the corpse a while longer, and try to find it's weak points."

Caitlin looks over to Vance. "Alright, not a problem, you study it some more and I'll do the sequencing, just make sure you incinerate it after, it's that machine there." She points at the largest machine in the room, then collects her samples and gets to work on compiling a genome of the monster. From the way her face scrunches, you can tell she's going to be at it for a while.

Draven shoots Caitlin a look. "Wait, are you saying this thing 'sucked' out a human brain or something, or took over a human body and warped it into this?"

He shakes his head again, definitely not enthused with that idea. "Lovely, yeah make sure that thing gets vaporized when your done Vance. If that machine won't do it, I'd be more than happy to use a plasma bomb on it."

Krysta shuddered away from the thing again, and went over to watch Caitlin curiously.

Vance nods to Caitlin's request to incinerate the creature, before getting to work "Here's hoping my immune system can handle anything that might be in these things" he says, checking muscle size and fat-to-muscle ratio, body density, size, everything. As he checks, he stops in the lower left leg, feeling something cold over his hand, then draws it out, covered in a nasty blue fluid "Okay, I'm officially through with this." he says, trying to hold back his vomit as he takes a sample of the fluid and then wipes the rest off into the creature, placing it into the incinerator and then looking at the sample as he removes his gloves and burns them "Think we should analyze this as well?" he says, the sample inside a test tube as he swings it back and forth in his hand

"I personally would, who knows what the hell that is, if it's even blood?"

Draven seems unaffected by the sight of the liquid, or whatever it is, the only thing visible on his face being a slightly curious expression.

It takes Caitlin a moment to respond, as she is completely immersed in what she is doing. "Whuh? Oh, what is that stuff? Really, and you found it in the leg? Alright, I'll give it a look as well, set it down with the others, if you please." She turns around and is lost to the world once again.

Draven lets loose a short chuckle, amused now. "Never a dull moment huh?"

"My medical bay is going to be full of surprises, but if you want a real surprise, go head to the canteen." She winked.

"Why is that, Doctor?" Vance asks, handing the test tube to Draven and looking at Krysta "You have an alien life-form working there or something?"

Draven takes the tube from Vance, pausing only long enough to ensure his hand is solid enough to hold it. "Will keep that in mind Krysta, and Caitlin, if you tell me what kind of tests you want run on this sample, I can probably run them for you and just hand you the results when it is finished?"

Caitlin answers Draven with a wave of her hand, too intent on her work to look away.

"Oh, I'm sure you have better things to do than sit around here getting bossed around by me. Off with you, I'll see to it everything gets done."

He nods then places the vial down in a safe spot. "Very well, I shall check in with you later."

He heads out, pretty well shifting his form through a minute crack in the door frame.

Caitlin answers a moment leter with an unintelligible grunt of affirmation, unaware that Draven has already left the room.

Krysta lets out another chuckle before pulling up a chair, so she wouldn't wear out herself standing up the whole time.

Vance yawns after standing and looking at the screen Caitlin is reading for so long "I think I'm going to head to the Canteen to see if I can find some more Glucose." he says, walking out of Medical with a smile on his face

Vance walks back into Medical and into the room where Caitlin is, his stomach full and a smile on his face "Well, now that I have some energy, what's first on the list?" he asks, rubbing his hands together

Krysta was still watching Caitlin with an amused smile, "Just let her finish." she said softly, "She's not really with us at the moment. It tends to happen when one get's absorbed in one's work."

It takes almost two hours for the line of samples to dwindle down to nothing, but Caitlin does it all with mechanical precision. Once she is finished, she calls up a status bar on the screen of the machine where the samples are up. It seems barely started, and the number above it reads 12%.

"There, that's one of three, now I have a bit of a break." She says to herself, then turns to find Krysta and Vance watching her. "Jeepers, how long have you two been there!?"
