When do you wake up and when do you go to sleep?

I've got a fucked up sleeping schedule. I basically stay up all night and all morning but sleep for 5-8 hours in the afternoon, often around 2 or 3 PM. I GOT THE SLEEPING SCHEDULE OF A KINKAJOU! (Go Diego Go is on and they're doing an episode on animals that sleep through the day but are awake at night. >_> By the way, the kinkajew's call is "queek queek". When he tells me to say it, guess what I say?)

I assume most people have a normal sleeping schedule.

Hehehehehehehehehehehehheheheheheh *breath* Hehehehe. Yeah, define *normal.*

Generally, my work schedule determines my sleep schedule and oh, wait, I'm only getting 4 hours a week lately, so yeah. It's not wholly uncommon for me to wake up anywhere between 4 and 6 PM (sometimes 7), occasionally even *nap* between 9 and 11 PM (which really freaks me out when I do that), stay online from 10PM to 6 or 7AM, exercise for about half an hour or so, and then play video games until 9 or 10 AM and then either pass out on the couch or go to bed and go to sleep. Lather. Rinse. Repeat. And, for the record, these are all in EST.

The only reason I'm conscious right now is one of my online friends emailed me a day or two ago and went "I'm passing through! Wanna do breakfast?" My boss even goes "Did you have an appointment or something?" when I stopped in to see if the work schedule was up for next week.

Re: Your sleeping schedule

Unless I have to do something scheduled (work, school, etc) I'm on a 25 hour day schedule. Which means if I go to bed at 2am one night, the next night I go to bed at 3am. Then 4, 5, 6.... etc. Basically if it's the summer time I get a few extra days somewhere in there.

Re: Your sleeping schedule

If left to my own devices I will sleep from 2am till somewhere between noon and 3 in the afternoon. If I have school, I'm up by 8. I make up the missing hours on days off, some times leading to marathon sleep sessions.

Re: Your sleeping schedule

On my worse days, I don't sleep at all

On my normal days, I tend to doze off at 3am and wake up at 10am ish

On my best days, I fall asleep by 12-1am, then wake up at 6am because of the sunlight.

Re: Your sleeping schedule

... I just realized the problem I have when this question was asked, I tried to honestly think of the average time I'll go to sleep and... there's apparently no average. I guess I'm a very "at my whim" type of person, I go to sleep when I'm tired. If I don't have shit to do, I run on like 38 hour days, not your human '24'

Re: Your sleeping schedule

I consider it sleeping a whole heck of a lot in if I get to rest until 9am. >_> Usually I'm in bed by 10:30pm so that I can be up before 7am for work (day job) but I've gotten so into the habit of it that I can't fuck my sleep schedule up if I try. I'm out like a light before midnight no matter what and up by around 8am max (though the birds tend to wake me up around 5 or 6 these days. XO)

Re: Your sleeping schedule

I sleep around 12 and then my internal alarm clock wakes me up about an hour before whatever I have to do. If I don't have anywhere that I'm supposed to be I wake up at about 12-1 pm

Re: Your sleeping schedule

I ususally go to bed between 0 and 1 and get up at either 4 or 6, depending on wether or not I'm working that day. If I have to work at night I sleep from 12 to 18, I don't work nights very often though.

Re: Your sleeping schedule

Lately I've been getting to bed around 8 a.m. and sleeping 'till about 1-2 p.m.

Before I moved in with my mom - I lived with my dad 'till recently - I would usually get to sleep @ 4 a.m. and wake up around noon.

When I had to go to work (I've worked for a plant nursery and for Chipotle) I would typically fall asleep around 10 p.m. and wake up about an hour or two before I had to go in.

During school (college) I usually get to sleep around 2 a.m. and wake up around 6:30 a.m.

Of course, these are just estimations based off of when I actually remember seeing the time when I went to sleep / woke up. I've had days where I've gone a full 24 hours and then some without sleep; I've also had days where I've only been awake for maybe a few hours out of the whole day, and not necessarily in succession, either.
