some of my friends and stuff have been chatting around as to what class they would be if they where characters in dungeons and dragons. This got me wondering what some of the classes you might think you guys are and why?

I figured i would be a sorcerer thanks to my quasi mystical powers (mostly making the impossible possible when it matters the least) and that i do some incredibly complicated things entirely on instinct (like the time i increased managed to win a game of TA despite the fact that i was sleepwalking at the time). Also this means i have a high charisma which makes me purty.

for those of you more in touch with the rules you might understand that more heroic classes such as paladin and more obtuse classes like hexblade are significantly rarer than you might want to believe. i've yet to meet the person who went outside the classes of the players hand book... or paladin.

Re: Your Class

I had a friend in the army that used to do this all the time when he got high. He kept trying to convince me that I was a LN fallen paladin, I think I never quite got his reasoning because I don't smoke.

For myself I would say a multiclass bard/ranger because my two jobs in the army were intelligence analyst/cavalry scout. It's not a great combination because it's spread kind of thin and he's not great at anything, but he can try to do a lot of things. Which also fits me.

Rouge/Necromancer. Or possibly Rouge/LE Paladin variant.

Re: Your Class

I think CN Bard, except without the music. Jack of many trades, never planning ahead, going where my whims take me.

Re: Your Class

In my idle fantasies, I'm a LG paladin. When I'm being more realistic, I'm a NG or NN mage. High INT, low to average body stats, poor WIS, mediocre CHA.

Re: Your Class

I'd probably be cannon fodder... :D

In all seriousness, I dunno. I used to know the classes fairly well, but after high school, I kinda didn't have anyone to play with. All I had was Diablo and the console stuff, like Baulder's Gate, and Dungeons and Dragons Heros (Xbox, it's still awesome to this day).

Then again, my friends and I never got into really complicated classes, so meh =/

I'd probably be some sort of defensive/support class, though. I'd rather protect my friends, rather than rush head-long into battle :p

Re: Your Class

Chaotic Lawful Evil Good. And a bard. Too random to be governed by order, have the ability and habit of twisting twist things around to suit my own ends but not wholly malicious in my actions. And I am a storyteller and do my best to bolster the spirits of others whenever I know they're upset and/or need it.

Re: Your Class

Funny. A couple weeks ago I was thinking of posting a 'what d&d alignment are you." Would have required copying the description of each of the 9 aligments from somewhere though, so I never got around to it.

Re: Your Class

Copper, that sounds like Chaotic Neutral to me, maybe Pure Neutral.

As for myself, Lawful Neutral, but with a lean towards Good. And funnily enough, my class is from outside the PHB: Scout. Wilderness oriented, but not worshipful of it, and all about movement. I'm very fast, and constantly resort to taking a few steps before a throw to get that extra oomph into it. Ranger almost fits, but the entire divine half isn't my style. Monk sorta fits, but I'm not really asthetic, or indeed that disciplined. I have the focus for a spellcaster, but not the dedication. I'm sneaky like a rogue, but I don't backstab people, they know they're fighting me before the fight starts. Not at all like a cleric, and both the barbarian and the fighter are too 'take a hit and shrug it off' kinda way to be me, I'd rather not get hit in the first place. Bard is also a no, I'm not so musical as to make myself actually helpful from it, and would rather not have people hear me sing at all.

Did I miss any of them?

Re: Your Class

Chaotic Neutral or Chaotic Good.

A level 1 Commoner, realized a fighter(even level 1!) is too disciplined for me. :B

Re: Your Class

Nah. I'm still too willing to follow the law and use the rules to my own ends to be truly CN. And I'm not balanced enough to be True Neutral (or Neutral Neutral, as you'll see below.)

If we're doing the alignment posters...

(Sephiroth's caption says "I will cease to exist as I am now...only to be reborn a God and rule over every soul." If yer curious.)

Eee, Sylar!

Once I get home and can actually see those captions, I'm sure I'll get a laugh out of all of them :)

Yeah, tiny little handhelds aren't good for that. I like Sylar's caption. I think that's why I saved that particular one.

Re: Your Class

These two are HUGE, so I'm just going to post links:
(And if I had known that TF2 one was so big, I woulda linked it as well)

Every time I tried to post them as images, it posted the 'zoomed' version >.<

Re: Your Class

If it makes you feel any better, the TF2 one is a little under an inch and a half wide for me ;)

What's does Sylar's say? I must know!

Could always spoiler tag it at this point. And sorry, had to fix the link for the one there.

Sylar's says "Murder isn't the goal, it's just the means..."

Re: Your Class

I'm not sure.

Possibly a rogue, since I'm most likely the paranoid one with high spot checks and constantly searching for traps, but I can't fight and have high intelligence so maybe a wizard.

Re: Your Class

Eh... Been a while since I tossed my hand into the Dungeons and Dragons ring, but I usually made myself into a character that usually reflected myself all the time, and was almost always a Cleric as a result. Being able to help with combat, as well as heal anyone who got hurt was almost always my style in any game I played. I knew my survival often depended on everyone else surviving as well, so being able to heal, and assist with combat suited me perfectly.

Re: Your Class

For my class...Not really sure.

To comment on one of the posters, though...

Amusing thing with the Warcraft one. My brother had been running a campaign that included elements from WoW. Last session of the first main story, the players, all at level 10, had to fight Arthas (NE from that poster, for those that may not recognize the name.) Four of us, well technically three since the one guy was out of the fight, and we walked away. I also take a bit of pride in making a nutshot with a fireball in that fight.
