Having cosplayers in the store today, browsing through the manga and then giggling like mad when all my co-workers are paging over our headsets "What's with the wigs?" "Who *are* those two?" "Is there something going on today?" And I got pics of them, which made me happy and also got to explain exactly what cosplay was to some of my co-workers.

Started reading the starship troopers novel.

the thought that someone conceived, 14 years after the end of world war 2, military deployment of highly trained special forces in power armour and jump jets and equipped with shoulder fired micro nukes, flamer throwers and grenade launchers, deployed from orbit by being launched straight from the ship in a series of ablative shields and parachutes that peeled off to provide chaff for their drop.

As much as I enjoyed 4 and 5, the remake of the first was the best for the survival horror. It was the best for what the franchise was supposed to be.
