Re: About lurkers
Oooo, A fun topic that I can pick apart!
tl;dring the last part of your argument, I'm going to nullify this entire position of yours by stating that I have never seen any hostility towards lurkers, or... Lurker, on this forum. True, there were some restrictions that may or may not have been cropping up on guests, but it would most likely be the end result of protecting the eyes of minors that could easily get past the "you have to be this tall to view view the ride" screen.
Now, I ignored the rest of your post since I have a few words to clear up your situation: Chrome - Incognito Mode. If your file sniffing mother tries to root through your PC to see what you've been up to Chrome's IM mode will prevent her from finding anything in your machine's history, provided that you keep the rest of your machine clean (ie: downloads, bookmarks, etc). I view ULMF using this very mode - mainly because my laptop is currently my only machine for everyday use. That and I have nosy siblings.
My preference for hiding what I look at is for two reasons:
1) To maintain a professional appearance -> my boss doesn't need to see the porn I fap at.
2) To prevent my youngest sibling from "accidentally" finding my porn. Little kids should not be exposed to this stuff. Not until they're thirteen, haha.
Additionally, and this may be a shocker to you, but lurking is the exact same as contributing to someone that's trying to find some dirt on you. You're right to say that anything and everything you do can be traced back to you easily. What you need to do is grow a backbone tough enough that you'll be able to say "So?" when anyone traces you back to your fetishes.
There, I've had my say.
