RPG Loli [でぼの巣製作所] でぼの巣製作所ゲームス / Debonosu Works Games

Maika is getting a 3rd game already? They sure love Maika.

huh. #15. 16. and 17 all had English translations drop on Johren back on December 17th. ( , under the Dawn of Kagura tag, for English and Chinese versions of all three). With the smut locked behind a patch from the main Debonosu site.

I was checking the front page of the site, saw the link for R18 patches, went WTF is that for, and now I know.

Also, Yamamoto Kazue (lead artist and CEO) underwent surgery for cancer back on the 14th. She's reportedly recovering.

Thx for info.

Checked the 3 of them once again to remember what was inside of those games CG's....

Damn, not the ones i liked (For me). Kinda wished they would have gone for one of those BIG games, but i suppose they picked those 3 since it's those "short ones"..

Still hoping they pick the disgraced one from Steam

There's an official english translation for those 3? Damn, that is good news for me. I've been a fan of Debonosu games for a long time and having it in readable english (I hope) is a great thing. I hope there's enough sales to drive forward the translation of more.

Oh nice, are these one's good? Or are they more on the vanilla side like the one's that were already translated?

These are proper monster-on-girl ones, if that's what you mean.

And yeah, hopefully these do well enough that Shiravune tackles one of the bigger games, like Kagura Douchukii or Natsu Kagura. (Hell, consideirng that they picked the three with the Natsu Kagura girls, that might even be their next project? One can hope.)

I checked the translator's twitter and was amused; they'd been talking about Dohna Dohna (which they got to translate) all month; they give a single mention on December 16th to the Kagura games they put out and then they go back to posting about Dohna Dohna.

Edit: Heh. Their twitter post on the game has someone asking if the translator if they'll publish the Kagura games through other store fronts, and this as a reply:

The three "Dawn of Kagura" games are now available under . Which is handy, since Johren wouldn't accept my US credit card (because the US is like a decade behind Europe on card security stuff; heh).

The Steam version is all-ages, but the patch from the Debonosu website restores the adult content. (Though still censored. Considering the patch is from the Japanese company, that doesn't seem like a surprise.)

Again, hopefully this paves the way for one of the more substantial games to get a translation.

Okay, that's a cute little thing.

On the Debonosu main page right now you download and install the Kagura Launcher, which is literally just a thing for tracking which ones you can have installed and selecting and launching them.

it's kind of irrelevant if you're keeping all of the shortcuts collected in one spot, but hey.

#20 is out; it's got the age regression monster in it, so it'll need that tag.

Since it apparently didn't get said, no special tags needed for #s 18 and 19.

I'm curious as to whether whatever the next title will be is still on track, considering Yamamoto-sensei got hospitalized for cancer treatment back in December. I'll be rather impressed with the woman's drive to draw mikos getting raped by monsters if it is and she's still the lead artist for it.

Edit: And for the first time in like 4 years, there's no same-day announcement for the next game coming out. Man, fuck cancer.

Updated OP with the new release and updated the content warnings.

I guess we wait and see then about new announcements.

Now I can actually see how they pump out this many games. They're pretty much cookie cutter asset flips, just changing the girl each time. At least the 3 recently translated ones. I can't even blame them too much since it works pretty well with the Mystery Dungeon format and just changing the girl is interesting enough, however seeing that even the monsters and scenarios are almost always identical is a bit of a letdown. Like man, does the "old guy with magic lube" really have to be in every game?

There's absolutely new work being put in with each game, but it's largely by the art team and voice actresses.

It's a little goofy because at this point Yamamoto-sensei has a stable of 60+ monsters that expands pretty much whenever she feels like drawing something new, but we'll frequently see one or two monsters pop up repeatedly in a row. I guess because she likes drawing whatever that monster does.

As you noticed, for whatever reason she makes almost constant use of the oil demon. He's not in every game but I'm pretty sure he's in most of them at this point.

I don't begrudge them for it. The format works pretty well for this. But it sure does explain a lot, and I'm not sure if I'd actually be motivated enough to play all of them knowing how similar they all are.
Compared to something like those ongoing "Fighting Fairy Angel" games which are asset flips but with absolutely terrible gameplay these games are actually kinda fun and mechanically sound and at least play somewhat differently each time. Still can't get over the fixation on the weirdest demons though lol.

I've been a fan of Yamamoto's work for a very, very long time (hell, the OG Natsu Kagura was arguably ground-breaking back when it came out), which is why I'm largely on-board for this series.

The series' focus on having just a couple girls being put through the ringer by a massive quantity of monsters (even the current, smaller games are still like 9 monsters each) is absolutely up my alley.

Cherrypicking which ones you actually want to play is the more much reasonable thing to do, of course.

A new Kagura Reimeiki game has been added to the site. I have updated the OP.

The new character is clearly in the loli category though, I don't recognize them from a different game so they may be original.

Yeah, she's new, and instantly flunks the "looks like a loli" test.

Works for me and apparently works for them too. I'm just here for the porn so... Although I do admit, the H-scenarios do kinda repeat themselves. It would be pretty nice to see the girls get broken beyond just the final boss.

I think from all the "new" games that they have done, none of them has the "good" amont of youkai that i like. It's either just 3-2 from all the batch of enemies.

The only games i have managed to keep are 2 games from the BIG GAMES since they have a good amount of cg's + Enemies that i like + pregnant scenes (birth), all others are just.... ehhh for me.

My favourite enemies gotta be:
Tanuki, Old man, Catgirl, Fish guy, Fire cat, frog (sadly they keep using him as tentacles. No more sex), snail (no tentacle again), oni, Snow woman.

And i think 2 enemies no longer are used, which are the headless horse and the weird weasels with blades

Not to ask for even more work being put into this great OP post, but would it be possible to mark all the games that have received a translation? I know 15, 16, and 17 have gotten translations but beyond that I have no clue.

Those three and 幽世ノ災厄ト現世ノ戦姫~さやか篇~ (which Shiravune renamed "Onmyoji in the Otherworld: Sayaka’s Story") are it so far.

Edit: Well, there's the all-ages version of Kagura Douchuuki but we don't count that one.
