Hehehe, that's like saying, "I'm insane, so I can see past logic."

That makes absolute sense to me, because I'm quite insane. But, following your greater role as a writer, forsaking many important punctuation marks, without informing the reader that that was not a mistake, will just end up making the reader miss the concept of your literature. As with your last example.

I can guarantee you, most others would assume this to be a question, even though, you as the writer, did not intend it to be that way. If your readers do not understand what you are writing, then who are you writing for?

As I writer, I can safely say that using proper punctuation only proceeds to help me make as many of my readers as possible understand exactly what it is that I'm writing. Only those who have problems understanding this written language would have troubles with understanding what I write. But, there's nothing I can do about that.

You may choose to write like that, in an effort to look fancy. And I'd recommend you fashion your own language as well. However, I will write in a manner that everyone understands, rather than do it differently, and pretend it's both correct, and better.


Edit: Argument? Bah! (Did ya see that punctuation? Ha, ha!) I don't argue, I compare, and contrast.

Or "I'm intelligent, so I can determine how humans will respond to a written work and write dependant on that".

Only those who have problems understanding this spoken language would have troubles with understanding what I write. But, there's nothing I can do about that.

You may choose to write as you do, in an effort to look propper. And I'd recommend you keep a dictionary on your person at all times. However, I will write in a manner that everyone understands, rather than do it by the rules, and pretend it's both correct, and better.

And no, that isn't a quote failure.

Oh, and, most "horribly done works of literature" are committed by people who thought they were, greater writers.

Much better. Now I can read it, and think that I'm chatting with an intelligent individual that knows how to spell those hard, big words.

As I writer, I can tell that you see beyond such quaint and rustic ideas as 'punctuation' and 'grammar', and even, at times, 'spelling'. You haven't realized, as all bad writers should, that while you claim to use an advanced, proper use of the written language, you often, not sometimes, do not spell correctly. And thus, I cannot even make an assumption that you are a knowledgeable writer, while looking at such sloppy paragraphs. Greater writers, of course, both write very well, and have great proof-readers to make sure that their books are as clean, and proper as possible. To begin on the path to becoming a greater writer, make sure that your meaning is understood, or else your writing will be for naught.

Um, technically, "emotionally charging" is subjective based on the reader's opinion. I think you mean emotionally charged.

(That's all folks. I'm with grave, in a minor way, and not at all homosexual, in that I believe this has gone on far enough for such a trivial matter. The English language is a bastardization. There's no getting it right.)

Alllright....

The little piece that started this argument of grammar and writing is something that a person would say. I've heard that used in speech many a time. So while you would not use that in the bulk of writing generally, through speech it can still be used.

However, the greater bulk of writing still must use grammar and spelling to prevent the confusion of the reader. Sure you know what your talking about, but someone else will not. Rules were not made to hinder writers, but to allow us to speak.

Sure, writers can bend the rules a little to make something more dramatic, but too much and it makes the reader shake their head and want to send the writer back to high school.

I am glad for every writer that you are not, in fact, a proof reader. Not only for managing to make a mistake in two sentences, but for being entirely unable to differentiate between a mistake and an ignoration of the rules. And, as amusing as it is that you actually attempted to argue your point without refuting any previous points, proof readers who attempt to correct a writer on such a basis of ‘because I said so’ are more of a nuisance than help. But yes, as your argument has devolved to the point of not containing an argument, we should stop.

To use this for its proper purpose, is the hive attacking Supermeme the one that Host is trying to lure to his trap, or is it some other hive aligned with Sparky? Also, who hasn’t decided where they’re going yet – I don’t think Grave has, but other than that I’m not sure who is left.

It's the hive the trap was supposed to be set on, he sort of convinced them to attack SM.

Congratulations, you've joined the attack on the hive!

Lets see, a recap...

Pale saved the people in the house, sort of.

Siphon got injected by a virus and got even more powerful.

Some time passed.

The Lurkers tried to ally with the forum, but kept getting delayed;

First Oni appeared and killed a bunch of them,

Then Pale took Host to discuss the problem of Oni (he's a world destroyer who would be more than happy destroying -our- world).

Sinful got shot down to Earth by the wraith, and along with Siphon, Grave and Oni, destroyed a Stargate.

Grave got damaged by the gate being taken out and became half-darkness (there's more to it than that but that basically sums it up).

Burrito killed a hive, now there's only one left. He went to the rubble of the hive he blew up and found Toonpimp, who seems to be the Big Bad Evil Mastermind. Also, Supermeme, who is a really tough brute-type monster, was there and helping him. Both are really powerful and beat up Burrito, killing John and Sparky as well.

The Lurkers made a trap for the last hive, and are currently executing it with the help of the forum's soldiers. Tsuki would probably have gone to this one when her radio told all the soldiers of ULMF to go there. On the other hand, she could have gone with Burrito when he started broadcasting stuff about fighting Toonpimp and Supermeme.

Yeah, yeah, I'm double posting, sue me.

the beams didn't meet resistance by a shield, they hit into bare hull, doing absolutely nothing at all.

I need a bit of clarification... did the ‘beam’ (these are actually supposed to be bombs, but never mind) go through the shield like it wasn't there, or was there simply no shield there? It sounds like the latter, but Shrike had been mentioning 'not being able to penetrate the shields without using sun slayers' and 'attacking the shield but not doing anything' (paraphrased because I'm too lazy to look up the quote), I also thought you'd said something about them having shields, somewhere, some time ago... but I could be wrong.

If it's the former, Plan B will have worked exactly as planned; they didn't need to penetrate the hull as long as the hive's shield was still there to vaporize the falling bits.

Well... this is a shame. Heading off for a weekend, and not sure how far you guys are going to get, so Sin is going to dissapear until Sunday, then she'll climb right back out of the hole she fell in.

The Hive has no shields at all, they sacrificed Shielding to power a denser outer hull and it's regenerative abilities.

This one was meant to be the true Super-Hive, making it nearly, but not quite impossible for external forces to destroy it.

Internal however .... Hence why Siphon asked if they could get a nuke on board.

The wraith turned to look at the group that had been in the room, now lying on the ground in a heap. A couple of her kin mulled around with her, waiting for some sort of order that would likely never come. They had definitely been guarding this thing, but it didn’t seem to be of any actual use. The wraith moved closer to it, contemplating it for a moment. It was a smallish, circular machine in the middle of the room, half as high as a person and as wide as a person is tall. There were a number of screens and readouts, but nothing that she could make sense of. It would probably be better to just destroy the thing... if she were lucky it’d go up in some sort of chain reaction and take the enemies of the wraith with it.

(Don’t worry, the Lurkers can handle this one if no-one else jumps to the rescue.)

Busy killing elsewhere. You have fun. And Host, unless that's a Queen, the Wraith would all be male.

Hmm, I suppose I'll have to ask Siphon if I could make it the queen, then. I thought is was more a case of 'no female wraith appearing on the show' than 'there aren't any female wraith beyond queens'...
