Siphon smiled, not even having to turn around to know she was behind him, even before she wrapped her arm over his. "But of course. And after that we can head for the dance floor since they finally put some music on. Ladies, if you'll excuse us, we have a lovely evening to enjoy."


He heads off with Sho, stopping near the side to get her a drink of her choosing.




Aya chuckled, unable to contain her smile. "No, I just figured you'd have someone here with you is all. Of course if that was an invitation for a good back to class night, I'm not turning it down either."

If Ian had thought he was getting out of that without more than a few words, that had pretty well shattered any thoughts of it right there, not to mention the grin she sported probably would make him feel like she'd planned this, even though they both knew she hadn't.

Autumn seems to relax a bit, having successfully contributed to the conversation. "Was that his name? I'm horrible remembering actors, and I haven't even seen it for near a decade. Does that staring thing he did actually work?" She asked, too engrossed to actually understand what Art was yelling about.

Sho glances over at other girls Siphon was talking to, recognizing them from the dorms. Giving them a wave, she let Siphon escort her away, declaring that she'd like punch and asking him if he wanted to get food before they spent time on the dance floor.

"Ah'm not so lucky. Besides, if Ah did, wouldn't be allowed ta ask you fer a dance, would I?" Even if he hadn't completely turned the situation around on her, it was still an invitation, given the way he extended his hand to hers. He wasn't, though, the type to completely ignore another partner in conversation.

"That'd be him," he told Autumn, giving her his attention while he waited to see if Aya would accept. "And starin' anythin' down usually works. Usually. Not that Ah've evah attempted it m'self." He grinned.

"Neat." Autumn says, though a bit more reserved at mention of dancing. The floor might not be creaking under her feet, but she doesn't want to try prancing on it just yet. "I'll, uh, leave you two to dancing then, nice meeting the both of you, thanks for saying hi." She says quietly, and starts to move off, unless they stop her.

"Oh, hey. The sketching girl. Nice to meat you, I'm Grace. Matt? Well he's a good guy really, just you never know quite what he's up to is all. And he smells. Fun at least, and he normally aims his pranks at the boys so don't worry."

Grace goes quiet leaning on the table for a little while simply listening as the others make conversation. As she does so she idly 'stirs' the bread sticks. Same trick as always. She slowly weaves a subtle stasis spell into the bread sticks, effectively glueing them to the air they sat in. Anyone who fancied one would find them would find them bizarrely rooted to their spot before the weak spell gave way with a snap.

As Art made his entrance though she nearly sprayed her drink, though best not with the janitor on patrol. She promptly begins trying to hold back her laughter, "Mini skirts! And the cane... oh man... my parents would hate this guy so much..."

"Same," Ian replied. "We'll have ta say 'Hi' again after a turn or two." He's content with his current partner, though it's clear he'll be willing to socialize if Autumn catches him again in the future.

Isabella physically flinched at Art's outburst, then remembering that mini skirt's was one of the things that she usually wore.

"Oh no....please don't let him see me when I'm wearin one.." She mutters to herself more than to anyone else around her.

Now that the crowd of people was spreading to the dance floor Isabella let out a sigh of relief. "So...uh...why would your....family hate..him?" Isabella asks Grace as she signalled to Art.

"Sounds like a plan, have fun!" She says, and wanders over to a different corner of the room, trying her best not to prance away, despite her previous reservations. Things were starting to look up already, and she was starting to get over her previous inhibitions. What she needed was something to do that would make her liked immediately, something good to be known for...

She caught snatches of conversation about someone stinking up the boys' dorm, listening a little longer placed the blame squarely on the janitor. And wouldn't you know it, that same janitor was off in the corner of the room, with some whiskey bottles on his cart, already stumbling. Plan hatching in her mind as she went, Autumn walked over and started a conversation. "Uh, hi there. You're Matt, the janitor, right?" She asked slowly, picking up her hesitation again.

Immediately, Matt's head snaps at the girl. "Poshibly..." he manages to slur out. "Are you here to collect mah tackshes, Johnny?"

Smiling gently, Autumn leans in a bit closer. "Taxes? I'm sorry, I don't know anything about that. I'm Autumn." She says, turning a bit to put herself in between him and the cart as she extended her hand in greeting. Her other hand stayed demurly behind her back until he focused on the first, then would slowly reach behind her and grab one of the half-empty bottles of whiskey. She's keep him distracted with the obvious motions of her shaking hand for as long as was needed...

"Well, nothing interesting happened, so I guess it was just an 'okay' summer," Kyo replies to Siphon.


Art's outburst causes Kyo to turn around and figure out who the hell just said such a ludicrous thing, and notices Corax with him. "Ah, well, if he's hanging out with Corax, he must be as insane as me," Kyo thinks to himself with a chuckle.


Noticing everyone starting to dance, Kyo makes his way over to a corner. Sure, he was perfectly capable of dancing - heck, his parents had sent him to classes for ballroom dancing, and he himself had learned many other forms from his... 'friends', as he grew up, but Kyo hated dancing. "It's never the dance they're interested in," Kyo thinks to himself. "Well, I guess there was her, but, . . ."
Kyo shakes the cobwebs from his head and leans back against the wall he had made it to. "No. That's all behind me now. gotta move ahead," Kyo says in a whisper to himself.

Alazais returns Sho's smie.. if weakly, and more than a little late. Red eyes rove over the dance-goers, and she draws her hood a little closer over her head. After a long moment of doing nothing, the albino reaches into a pocket, and plucks out a silver coin.

She holds it up to the light for a moment, then casually flips it, catches it, looks at the outcome. Bored with that, the albino starts rolling the coin across pale fingers.

Over near the punch, Kyle accidentally bumps into Siphon, seemingly distracted by several different things at once. "Oh, sorry about that...Probably ought to pay more attention to what's closer to me, shouldn't I?"

Leo smiles as he looks down out the window at the grass, then draws his arms back in, standing and wading through the room to the punch bowl, grabbing a drink and finding a quite corner to drink in, seemingly lost in thought the entire time

Following Art's lead slowly, Trixie tried to make sure her bare feet didn't acidentally tromp on something it shouldn't, dancing slightly aquardly, but still trying to keep in some control.

"You sure you don't want to wear any shoes?" Art asked Trixie kindly as he watched her trying carefully not to step on anything harmful. "Is this your first time?" He asked again with the same soothing voice.

"It's more comfortable this way,' she notes to him, still trying from tredding on him. "And yeah, it is..."

"well if you're sure. And you're pretty good, you sure you're not a natural dancer?" Art danced a while more with Trixie whilst humming along with the music. "So Jungle Girl, you got a name?" Again, his voice was calm and sincere, completely different to the person who had initially entered the building.

Trixie smiled a bit as she realized she forgot to tell him her name during the first few minutes. "Call me Trixie, it probably makes the teachers confused less," she said with a giggle.

"That's a pretty name," Art says to her, a slight smile forms on his face. "So what brings you to this school then?"
