ACT [八角家] ハチナ怪異譚 (RJ431925)


So there's a few fun bits of info you can find in the save data. Obviously as previously found by starsreborn, there's all the status effects currently implemented (most only as text without a description, but the bondage ones do reduce movement speed). Machine translation provides the following:
嗅陰虫 sniffer beetle
寄生ミズチ Parasitic wasp
幼生ミズチ Larval parasitic wasp
応声虫 chirping insect
鋭感虫 acute sensory worm
鬼子母虫 Carabid beetle
催眠 Hypnotism
発情 Rutting
緊縛 Bondage
媚薬緊縛 Aphrodisiac Bondage
振動石 Vibrating stones
幻惑 Illusion
粘液まみれ Covered in Mucus
揺らぎの首輪 Shaking collar
催眠浸食 Hypnotic Erosion

So quite a few parasite types there, most share 虫, which seems to mean insect. The first three are actually acquireable by playing, coming from the pollen plant and the tongue worm respectively.
In addition, we can also see the development levels. As peviosly found, there are mouth, pussy and nipple development, but the save files also indicate there will be anal (kinda to be expected tbh), and urethal development, which is far less common. There's a general development level that doesn't seem to be being used right now, it's not a total of the five body parts as it stays at zero despite getting points elsewhere. There's also an infection level, which has me very interested to see what they have planned there.

The rest is pretty basic stuff. There's a difficulty level, Story progress tracker, location tracker(2 is the starting zone, 3 is 1st village, 4 second zone, 5 2nd village. I tried 6 and 4.5 to see if i could warp into the cave, it dumps you in 1st village), a whole lot of entries that seem to track medicine recipe unlocks and inventory items counts, 8 pieces of equipment, clothing trackers, and a couple of entries that seem to be special ability unlocks. releaseResponse seems to be the ability to get the resist/submit actions during grabs, as all my post village saves have it as true. The others are releseDash, releaseStealthDash and releaseSpecial.

I was able to get an older version of bepinex+xunity.autotranslator to work. The latest versions wouldn't hook for some reason and the logs weren't helpful.

Wow, a handful of these are definitely some I'm interested to see; especially 鋭感虫 chirping insect and 幻惑 Illusion. Although 催眠浸食 Hypnotic Erosion sounds different from the second-stage hypnotism.
 
Can tell by the struggle difficulty we'll need another Mcswagger mod for this or at least something to up the struggle difficulty. Like previous titles you'll have to like intentionally allow H stuff to progress rather than it being an actual mechanic. Still, CRAZY great demo aesthetics-wise.
 
The distinct lack of any toplessness in the demo or its files (I poked around to be sure) has me a little worried that there won't be any in the final, and that'll be a real buzzkill for me. Everyone has their own tastes, I know, but from what I remember, the previous game had variations for at least a few of the animations where she could have her breasts exposed or not, depending on her transformation state. Has the creator given any indication on what they plan to do with this game in regards to that?
 
In hentai games there is something I would call a progression of lewdness. This demo did not even have what I would call one level's worth of content. I wouldn't exactly stress over that yet.

That's true, but I'm still thinking ahead (probably because I'm thirsty for content and not much else is on my radar for the time being). There seems to be a focus on clothing loss/removal this time around, but the heroine's wearing a skintight top, so if I had to hazard a guess, if there is any upper nudity, it'd be during an event/game over at best. I'll be thrilled if my fears end up being unfounded, though I'm still holding off on buying this game the time around after seeing what the demo had to offer (barring the creator releasing a demo with more content down the line).

I'm mostly saying that because I bought the first game based on the fact that I really liked the jellyfish animation in its demo, but then there wasn't much else in the full game that hit the same notes for me (and a good chunk of the content was fully clothed, to boot). Yeah, I get the fully clothed fetish, but I still like my oppai, damn it. Fight me.

I had assumed the creator wouldn't respond to English, but I went ahead and asked them after it was suggested. Here's their response:
In the full game, same as the previous one, there are little or no full nudity animations. Because I love clothing.

Too bad it's not a definitive answer on whether there's going to be any animations without clothing, but it sounds like it's going the direction I was thinking it would. Getting the game'll likely be a nope for me at this point, but congrats to the folks who prefer clothed sex.
 
I actually wanna see restraint + clothes on. I personally got tired of games where the protagonist must be naked first before they can get bound.
 
It doesn't have to be a zero-sum game, which is why I was interested in hearing from the creator on if they planned to have some variety. At least it wouldn't be prohibitively difficult to mod the animations if I felt like (but that's another story). Gotta see what the finished game has first.

It's new to see it for those of us that haven't played the demo. Only heard it described until now, thanks for sharing.
 
Played the demo myself. Pretty impressive proof of concept just like Hasumi was.

I found a couple bugs, uh code-related bugs.

-The insect thingies make you either fall through the floor or softlock the game and cannot be escaped from if the PC orgasms with only two or less on her.
-The ground pound-esque attack you do by pressing attack and down while in the air doesn't play its animation or do its little attack particle so it just looks like you're fast falling.
-Insect thingies keep hiding in the corners of the map when they attack/go past you so you can end up walking into and getting damaged by them.
-Insect thingies don't attack the PC unless very close if she's engaged in a H-scene (aka visible on the screen during zoomed in H-scenes).
-The accept or resist decision doesn't start triggering until you go beyond the first area.
-The cocoon thing keeps spawning enemies endlessly if the PC is in a H-scene. Kind of very annoying...

Edit: Oh yeah I meant to ask, can you go further than the second village?

No, when you finished your business in second village and helped to heal the person, you need to go to the dungeon after that , but you can ´t enter it in the demo.
