Re: Hate Thread
I hate cramps, and that particularly bad cramps seem to be a thing that runs in my family. As well as myself, both my dad and my brother have frequent and sometimes nasty cramps.
I especially hate it when both my legs have a major attack of cramp simultaneously, whilst swiming in the deep end of a pool, with the wave machine going. It's happened once. That being today, and that's more than enough. Struck in the back of my calf muscles while doing some heavy kicking. Seriously frickin painful, since normally when I feel a cramp coming on I can quickly react and help lessen or prevent the cramp. This time I kicked right into it straining the muscle the wrong way and making it worse instantly. And so I had to swim with just my arms out of the centre of the pool with my legs curling up, wave machine in full swing, having just accidentally took in a gulp of water, half blinded, and in agonising pain. ¬_¬
I'm overall quite a good swimmer, but I never saw that coming. Generally unexpected, very uncomfortable, and a little scary. Second worst cramp ever. My legs still ache like hell from it.
