My monitor button is broken, now it's stuck on. I'm afraid to press the button in case it stays forever off. It's not even like it's stuck, I feel like I'm pressing it in the same amount as usual, but just doesn't work.

How does a power button work on a monitor? If I shut everything down and take it apart and put it back together and plug everything back in, the monitor will still be in the "on" position technically, right? It should all just come back on?

Hey, it's a power button. When you push it, it connects two wires. You can probably fix it yourself easily enough, if you can take the front panel off without damaging it.

Anyway, I don't want to get an entire new monitor just cause, but with like less than a month left, I don't want to lose the ability to use my computer

Why does the site have to slow down when I'm short on time? This morning when I woke up and did a brief check, all went nice and quick. Now, when I have 10 minutes before having to leave for classes, the site is like walking through a swamp x.x

Yeah, same thing happened to me on Monday. I get up about 10-15 minutes before I should just to check on a few things when I wake up, one of them being the forum, and for the entire 15 minutes I couldn't get anything to load up.

aika says we've grown to such a size that there are no more increases of bandwidth options to use. he's still trying to fix this though.

The amount of image albums probably don't help, and I've been meaning to clear away all the ones I don't really need as I could just host them on Photobucket or something. Would the zero post lurker accounts bog everything down as well? If so clearing out the inactive ones could give us a bit of a boost.

its more likely that there are on average about 200 users online.

At time of posting there are 23 members and 229 guests online.

Is a guest is someone who's not registered? Or a no-post lurker? Is it not my place to maybe suggest a guest cap, Or would that lead to an influx of shitty new members?

Not of course that any of our members are shitty, but that compulsory registration increases the likelihood of a shitty member joining so he can get at what he wants.

Guests are people who have not regestered.

I think the best way out might be to stop guests from viewing shoutbox. not sure if that fixes everything but maybe

Today's been a crappy day in general, but on top of that, I've caught a cold somehow. The weather is finally nice and I can't really enjoy it because my nose is running too much :(

Above pretty much includes every newscaster that raises their voice in such a way they look like an asshole.

Innocent people harmed. Trust broken. Seeing someone's trust broken right before being murdered or as their murdered. Pets suffering the same fate.

Annoying posters. Ignorant posters. New posters being flamed. New posters flaming.

Cats doing mating calls. Squirrels doing mating calls. Birds hitting my window.

Bees. Wasps. Yellowjackets. Wood Bees just because they look like sting bees.

Fire ants. Army ants. Odd green ants that live in the night time.

Hard games. Games that are too easy. Elements promised in games before release taken out. Finding out a cool extra is included in code only.

I hate the feeling you get when you're tired but don't feel like going to sleep. I also hate changing bedsheets. And the fact that I haven't been posting much lately.
