Thanks, that is appreciated. I'm recently working on basis of your first released uncensor version, but I saw that you've been improving it quite a lot until now. Placing all the translated vector graphics in the correct locations is a real pain and something I wouldn't want to do twice. However, I'm only working on the main file right now (as this is where the majority of the text is). Translation for all sex scenes is sure to follow, but first things first . This means that for the moment, using your newest version would be as simple as copying the files that you provide. Only the main file would need manual adjustments with your improvements.@flurki
Just a heads up. I plan on applying my decensor work on top of your translation. This way you don't have to worry about trying to use my latest decensor as a base. I've made quite extensive notes on what I need to adjust, so it doesn't take me that long to do.
The shape is not in the main file so no worries there. It's the internal semenal fluid back splash transparency. I wouldn't have noticed it was gone if I hadn't checked my work against the stock files so mainy times.Is the shape missing in the main file, too? Can it be reinserted?
I can relate with your desire for perfectionism. The fact that I'm having trouble with my decensor work is really bothering me.Hey, just wanted to give a quick update: So first of all, sorry for the delay. It looks like I underestimated the rest amount of work to be done. Maybe my quality standards are a little bit too high. Anyways, work is progressing well. Everything shade/button/sprite related is pretty much done, I'm just going over the texts and replaying the scenes to see which text blocks come after each other so that I can better transition/relate them.
@Delexicus
Which uncensor files of yours would you recommend for the translated version? For the moment, the sub files (not the main file) could be easily replaced with your versions.
Hey and thanks, I will use the basic uncensoring version then.
I've no problem with sharing my work, however it's not that easy. While there are some raw work files that could be shared, the main issue is to align all buttons and images correctly, often times by editing the transform values. I initially tried to write down all changes that need to be done that way, but I quickly stopped it because it was too much work. I often found out the correct align values by simple trial and error.
Long story short, if JSK decides to release an updated version of Miyui, I probably would have to create a complete manual on what things you have to change which could be quite some work. Unfortunately JSK does make translating quite hard (he probably doesn't care a lot about proper resource and localization management).
For awhile I was reading JSK's DLsite blog comments and on more than one occasion someone offered to translate his games into English. JSK flat out ignored them. On a separate occasion I remember someone asking in Japanese why he didn't want to translate his games into English. His response was along the lines of just not being well versed or comfortable with the language. I'll have to dig up those posts later.Or that he/they is/are not aware that we english majors do this without his/their knowledge and doesn't prepare for it accordingly.
And on the side note, I'll be returning home tomorrow, and continue with Irene after getting rid of the jet lag.
