Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

yeah PA, I did mix you up... sorry.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

*facepalm*

Yep, I'm a moron. I thought Eve and Fletch were driving River's group.

I'll see what I can do to edit in a fix, sorry folks :/

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Oi, where's me update ya crazed canuck?

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

I know, I know, Copper and I are working on something for yours, hold your horses :p

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Fletch

Fletch didn't catch a lot of Eve's preparations. The big man has started to walk towards the nearby river, hands buried in his jeans. The cool night air doesn't bother him the least as he presses on. Now and then he peers into the dark. After a while he stops, takes a deep breath and concentrates on the shadows, trying to pierce through them like he did with Rash's hood. After a moment the shades lift. . .

(Using Eyes Of The Beast to look for suitable prey)

If you use 3rd revised edition, that's a Masquerade breach. But, it's always fun to see how a Storyteller deals with Masq Breaches... so cool!

Actually, we're following the LARP version instead of the Tabletop version, so i dunno how much different it'll be.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

"Mind's Eye Theatre's Laws of the Night" Revised rules for playing Vampires

That's the Larp version. Will we be playing Rock Paper Scissors [or Rock Scissors Paper]?

I have a copy, but it fell out of a car going 55 miles an hour, over a bridge...

Err, it's in bad condition, and missing at least a few pages.

I quote from page 169 of said book:

Eyes of the Beast
With a moment's pause, you can make your eyes able to see in absolute
darkness. An eerie red glow emanates from your eyes, and you can see perfectly well in pitch blackness.
You need only declare your intent to use Eyes of the beast, and at the end of the
turn, the change is complete. You suffer no penalties at all for natural darkness while
using this Discipline. However, you do suffer the Negitive Trait Bestial due to your red,
glowing eyes, unless you take steps to conceal them (most commonly, with sunglasses).
Using this power is also a rather obvious breach of the Masquerade.

However, ultimately the Storyteller has authority. For example, in a previous game I've been to, ALL USES of level 1 and two disciplines were considered not breaches of the masquerade, with several obvious exceptions (Feral Claws, Obtenebration, Flesh crafting in general, etc.)

I do believe i mentioned that i didn't know if it would be any different.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Whups- sorry. Know-it-all mode kicked in... and I haven't got my fix of RPGs in the offline world in months. Withdrawal is kicking in.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Dragon Age: Origins is coming out soon for ya MMK.

In other news... Claire wants blood?

Meh- Videogames never gave me the thrill of LARPs. Otherwise, I'd be fine. Must be that "Human interaction" bit... not that MMO's dont involve human interaction. :p

And Clare must be really ready to "trust her instincts", eh?

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

I'm not entirely sure what's going on in Claire's mind actually... I'm just kind of letting her character go free.

She's actually a bit of a break in character for me. Not the general Lawful Good military gal as someone put it.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

I believe that was me ;) And yeah, it's good to break your usual boundaries, try something radically different every once in a while.

Updates will probably be pretty slow tonight, having troubles with my battery. Also have an early morning tomorrow, so if stuff doesn't get done, I apologize.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

I think this solves all of our characters' problems.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

That it does Copper that it does :p

Also, it was you Shrike.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Shrike is doing what I did when I was really active here- He's got his fingers in too many pies.

Be patient, he'll get around too it. :)

That, or he forgot about you... either way... :p

Fixed.

Re: Laws of the Night OOC and Discussion

Thanks Sin, beat me to it XD

Yeah, I've been busy all week, though we are having some troubles finding a way to introduce ya. You work during the day, and spend all night at home :/
