Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe its 10+1/2 lvl+ CHA. So if I'm not mistaken I think it should be DC 15.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Incorrect, the dc is 10+spell level+cha mod, so 1 less at 14

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Hmnn.. this is actually complicated, the ability is badly written, doesn't even list relevant ability score. Default is charisma.

But I agree, its 14.

Even if we used the 10 +1/2 + charisma mod calculation you'd only end up with 14 as well, because it counts your rogue level as -2 for the spellcastings purpose, so herp a derp derp.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

It;s a spell like ability. Spell likes, unless stated otherwise in the entry, always use the same dcs as a spell of their level.

Yeah. I had to go through 4 links from kitsune page to figure out what spell is being used by Magical Tail. Charm Person.

Also just for reference, my WILL save is +8. And I rolled a 12. So, ergo 20. Working on post.

EDIT: Hate ULMF picture album stuff. Can't see any of Zil, Blue or Tenta's so running off description.

Mmmm. Hope you enjoy Orelia's actions then XD. Also yum picture.

@Pervy, hope not overstepping anything.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

All good. *leans back, lets campaign run itself* Anyway, Diagas, feel free to have your character either refuse or not be sure about answering some of the details, for example, the question 'how long has the place been like this' would just be confusing to you, infact, anyone questioning the status quo is kinda a bad thing. You don't know why, because your character never would(After all, its all kinky fun), just that it is that way.

Also! You suddenly realize that you completely forgot what day it is and only now remember! You're supposed to go for your weekly obediance reinforcement right now. Perhaps your new friends want to come too, if they're all confused and stuff?

Hmmm should I wait on responses from Blue and Tenta or just go go go? (If go go go, gonna be 16ish+ hours.)

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

I intend to write some responses to things in the next 5 hours or so.

Also, for Diaga, my bard Yenna... alternate link:

Edit: when it comes to social interaction between PCs, I prefer to not have diplomacy roles dictate my reaction.

*chuckles* Diagas seems to be enjoying the bimboey character. ^^

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

The whole place is indeed bimbofied.

Would I be able to do any sort of roll to discern if some sort of spell or power could have caused all this vacant-mindedness in the town? Does it seem like there's definitely a magic enchantment in place that is keeping people's minds dulled and using 'like' improperly?

*Shrugs* Seems to work right now and going with the flow. Hopefully, I can be more seriouz.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

I love the artwork pic to represent Corgana Ironsoul.

So if Corgana is completely female, would it be right to assume that the guards are a mix of females and futas?

The guards are.

As for your roll, thats tricky, as you ask several questions at once. Detect magic or somesuch would definitly help though, if you lack that you are kinda stuck with sense motive.

As for the artwork, I just googled up some fantasy art, I do like the 80's/heavy metal artstyle for a lot of fantasy things where I can use it, and in this scenario I think it'd fit well to give the setting a more srs apperance to some degree.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Is the casting of Detect Magic obvious?

She'll do that once she gets a moment when she's not directly being observed. In the meantime, here's a sense motive roll (+1):

+1 means it = 8. Not very high.

In case a knowledge Arcana roll could tell her something about what is possible I got a 13 total.

Seems I'll have to wait to cast the actual spell. Probably in my next post.

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Things seem pretty normal to you. Perhaps this town has just hit really good times?

There -could- be magic involved, but it'd have to be something on a big scale.

As for the spellcasting.. everything with V and S components is at least somewhat noticeable, so..

Well, my rolling so far has been mediocre, but this natural 20 came at a good time! Hopefully Corgana will be convinced and maybe even quite friendly to Yenna.

And by friendly I mean they should be BFFs. (best fuckbuddies forever)

Re: Overquest - What if the good guys had already lost?

Sure. Just one little hurdle to get over! :p

Devas guide to good dming, step 7a: clearly telegraph dangerous hostile npcs your players shouldn't mess with without a plan.
