Katie let out a groan, partially because her arm was really hurting, and second of all because of the fact that she was trying to cause the person to lower whatever weapon they were lowering, perhaps she could even convince the person to help.
The person rounds the corner as the light source nearly blinds her, she's forced to cower away as she sees it is literally a ball of light, she can only see a hand and the dim sillouhette of the person, but she was glad to see that only the hand holding the light was raised, the other was lowered. The person was definately carrying something, but it wasn't pointed at her,
"Who are you? Why are you tresspassing on these grounds?" the person's head moved, seeming to look her over, then the person looks up, "I told him to reinforce the stairs... it was just a matter of time..."
Katie saw she had an opening, a brief one, but one nonetheless...

Choice (finally) is 1, stab
Katie lunges forward with the machette trying to aim for a vital point, but the pain in her arm chose that except moment to flare up again, she twists in agony as her blade hits only glances the person's arm, drawing blood.
The person seems agitated and swings the arm holding the metal object up, Katie let out a cry as she felt electricity coursing through her body. She falls to the ground, twitching and crying out in agony, she lets out another pained cry as she feels more electricity, then nothing, as she finally blacks out into blissful oblivion.
She wakes up with a scream as she looks around. She couldn't tell whether it was day or night as she was in a room with the curtains closed. She instinctively reaches for her broken arm only to discover, to her absolute horor, that it was gone. She screamed as she looks at where her arm used to be, expecting a bloody stump. Instead, she saw that it had been neatly sawed off and where the stump was, there was a sterile looking metal socket.
She looks around the room frantically, none of the things she was carrying was with her, there was some food on the table, mostly fruits, she felt a rumbling in her stomach. She looks down and notices that she's only wearing her underwear. She wonders how long she'd been out for...

1. Eat the fruit, she might need the energy!
2. Look for a suitable weapon
3. Look for suitable clothing
4. Search for anything that might help her
5. Try the door
6. Open the curtains
7. Shout for help
8. Go back to sleep
