Katie nods and follows the man, the doors closing loudly behind her, as she's about to say something, the man throws her an arm, she gives out a yell as she falls backwards, catching it, failing to catch herself and landing on her butt. She looks the arm over, realizing that it was artificial, and also that it had a plug which seemed that it would fit into the socket that was her arm.
She gets up and continues to follow the man, running a little as he was walking quite fast. When she finally caught up, she tries to connect her new arm, letting out a cry of pain as she does something wrong. She tries a second time, the arm sliding in this time without a problem. She gives it a few good shakes, the arm moving with almost as the one she previously had, just, it felt much lighter.
She tries to talk to the man again, "Hey... can you tell that maid I'm sorry? I didn't mean to... really, it was an accident..."
The man continues walking without breaking a stride, "You may apologize to her when you see her. And you will probably see her, provided you survive your first day." He takes her to the entrance of a tunnel that split two ways, "Some of the master's servants complained about ghosts haunting these tunnels. Your task is to clean out one side, another of the master's servants will clean the other."
He points to the arm, "When you find a ghost, simply point your arm at the ghost and the arm will do the rest..." he smiles, "However... ghosts generally don't show themselves unless you give them something worthwhile in return. Feel free to be creative. I will return for you in a few hours whether you succeed or not." He put a hand on her shoulder, it was at this point she realized that he was much taller than her, "And I do hope you succeed... it would be a waste to have you die so early..."
Suddenly two series of whispers, one from each tunnel echo towards Katie, one male, and one female. She watches the tunnels, straining to try to hear more, "D..did you hear tha...?" she turns around and realizes the butler isn't there anymore, she stares at the tunnels, wondering which one to take.
