The butler knows what's up. If I were to take anyone it'd be him, just to see if I could get any useful info. Otherwise, go it solo so's I could run whatever 'personal' errand I needed to on the side. We don't know these peeps yet, and there's no reason to trust them. The reverse is true, so they may follow us on the extra trip.
So, as stated prior:1, or 4 if there's a good reason.

5a: ask the butler to come, while walking with him to the town for grocierers pester him with questions about the castle.

(choice is 1, go with the butler)
Katie goes up to the butler and smiles at him, "I'm suppose to go to town, do you want to come with me?"
He looks at her a little hesitantly, but agrees to go, adding, "Alright... if the master wishes for me to go..." He seems somewhat reluctant, as if he had other things to do. Regardless though, he goes to get a coat for himself as well as one for Katie, noting, "It's cold outside."
The two of them stand outside as they wait for the transport to arrive. She decides to make some small talk with him,
"So uh... thanks for yesterday... I never got your name, what is it?"
He looks at her with the small smile that he seemed to be permanently wearing, "I'm sorry for not introducing myself to you earlier, my name is Richard, I have been working here at the estate since the master was a young boy."
Katie nods, "I see... so uh... I've been meaning to ask... are you human...?"
Richards looks away briefly, then looks back at her, "I think I'll let you find out someday. Look, the driver's here." He points at a truck which was rumbling up the hill.
The two of them climb onboard the truck which drives slowly down back to town. The trip was mostly uneventful, Katie mostly kept to herself while sitting the truck, thinking of what Richard had said to her.
They were dropped off at the marketplace, Richard would get out of the truck, "I'll wait here for you, call me if you run into trouble..."
Katie starts to shop around for the groceries, as she walks over to a stall, she notices that she may be able to get away to one of the buildings...

Choices
1. Be a good girl and return to Richard
2. Go to the guild
3. Go to the police
4. Head to the local news station
5. Other
(Sorry for the poor writing and the inconsistant updates, been really tired lately =w=)

Cops won't believe you. News probably won't believe you. You can contact the guild whenever because you've got the radio. There's no reason to try and run off, it'll probably just cause trouble for you. 1

As much as one wants to run away, we depend on them for paintenance of the arm, which probably has either a tracker or a wireless torture device installed, and we're suspected for murder anyway -_-
