Anyone know how to get this game over?
IIRC the translator is waiting for the finished version (because in every update all translation will be reverted to the japanese), correct me if i'm wrong...Hi, I've been lurking this thread for a while and I can't help wondering if there's any new news about the translation. I want to buy the game but not being able to understand the things going on has been a deal breaker.
Regarding the opening crawl, you can use a program called Capture2Text to get the text, more or less accurately. It should be able to recognise most of the characters and has a clipboard function, so you can just use that to put the text it into your translator. It's free, so check it out if you want to get a decent understanding of the text. Won't capture all characters perfectly and can confuse some, but it should be enough to help you understand it.OK, I know what I'm doing next month...
Super Mario Maker 2!
OK, I'll be serious now, I'll start doing a Version 1 patch release. Version 1 will restore all strings to the originals from the RTP.
Version 2 will replace the opening crawl with one in English, using best guess logic.
The Version 3 releases will replace the gallery versions of endings with English ones.
One thing I will NOT change currently is where Sweetsprite used text on a transparent image overlay. These edits will be able to be applied as a patch to a still encrypted version of the game, meaning I cannot replace any graphics or audio. That is a hard and fast rule.

I see your point, but remember that this is a game that someone made. They put effort into the story as well as the bad endings. Even if it is a hentai game, I've enjoyed games significantly more where I understood all the dialogue and story as opposed to just seeing what they're saying in a game over CGyeah. though admittedly i would settle for just the bad endings, i think it's great the effort is being put in to translate this entire game.
no doubt. i'll actually give the whole thing a try if the full thing gets translated. as far as bruteforcing my way through games go, well i did it with one of sweetsprite's other games. that carnival one. was a pain in the pass but this would be on a much larger scale. seriously though if anyone's played it, that game literally requires you to guess everything PERFECTLY to get one of the endings. it sucked.I see your point, but remember that this is a game that someone made.
