Woah, I recognized the pink background, and was waiting for a fucking bear or someone firing his lazor or something. But my... That was beautiful and saddening and extremely well written...

The fact that whoever wrote it threw in "over 9000" killed it.

Also, the only reason it tugged at my heartstrings is because one of my beloved kitties is dying after almost 15 years of life. She's my favorite out of the four we have - she's so sweet she didn't even have to be declawed.

D: That made me bawl like a baby, considering I've kept every pet of mine until they died of old age, Including my poor little Sheltie.

I wish i had the property to be able to go rescue all the dogs from the shelter now... And this is why i adopted an older cat.

It's from 4chan I think, and if i remember correctly any number will turn into "over 9000" after you post it.

Just "7" does, and depending on the admin's mood, there are a lot of other things that can change. This can be avoided by just writing the number out.

Edit: And confirming it, yes, it is from 4chan.

After reading that story about Ugly, it made me wish I was there myself, to protect that cat... And I almost felt helpless near the end, like I could have done something myself to save him, but instead, just watched him die as he called for only a little compassion.

how anyone could read them without feeling something is beyond me. I was crying after the second paragraph.

The Ugly one didn't get me anywhere near as much as the Li Guolin one. That one squeezed a good tear outta me. It's probably because it's impossible to even fathom how painful it must be to leave your own kid to do your duty. I can really see my dad in that position for some reason, and he would have chosen the same thing. And when I imagine that, I imagine that same pain he would most likely feel, which just makes me depressed.

Yeah, that's the one that got to me the most too. For pretty much the same reasons.
