Firesticks are more of a tool- a one-shot Flint and Steel, so not really useful as a weapon. My bid for spears would be either stick em with Swords (so they benifit from the Bleed bonus) or Ranged (to make the thrown bonuses stronger for the alt fire). Also I don't see flails as part of the list, allthough I suggest they go into Axes because crushing weapon.

Whilst I've yet to actually get back to the server and play with ye some, I actually never understood the ever inflating wealth that the currency mod seemed to be designed with. Even back when mobs were the only source of earning beyond inter player trade, I found that prices set one day, were obsolete the next week and all my hard grafted stock had been snapped up for no real reward.

So I'd actually be in favour of a far more static overall wealth for the game. I don't really see how a manageable economy can actually run properly otherwise. In fact I wouldn't half mind a standardised price guide being written up, even if players weren't compelled to stick to it. If we knew roughly how much wealth was in the game overall, that would make it a lot easier to judge produce and item value.

I suggested a price guide way back before the server was down for ages and nobody seemed to be interested in it.

Why not go by Equivalent Exchange's rates? Sure we're not using it now, but it's still a pretty decent guideline. I can set up admin shops buying Tungsten and Nikolite, both of which have pretty limited uses (or in the case of Tungsten, none at all). And, of course, nothing's stopping people from setting their prices higher or lower. If someone really needs gold, for instance, they can set up a shop buying gold for more than its EMC. Similarly, someone who has an abundance of coal can sell it for less.

Would that work?

More questions... is the industrial TNT (and/or the nuke, potentially dynamite as well) affected by the TNT-mining skill of mcmmo's mining ability? Also, will balkon's weapons, IC2's bronze equipment, and IC2's sickles be able to be repaired with mcmmo, and is the nano saber also going to be added to the list of swords compatible with the Sword skill? Probably least likely, will it be possible to enchant any of the mod content - weapons, most importantly?

Using EMC values for currency might be a tad overpowered, but it depends. A diamond might be worth 8000~, but is a stone block really worth one currency, when it naturally takes a degree of energy to smelt it back from cobblestone? Grass and Mycelium blocks are worth one EMC, but require either silk touch or UU matter to get, and even grass blocks can be very useful, allowing you to spread grass underground without need to connect it to the surface. Glowstone can be found by any fool with a shovel, but is worth fifteen hundred. Different dyed wools are worth the same regardless of the difficulty of finding the dye. Netherbrick is worth 4, but is limited in supply and quite hard to get. ...and, oh, the vast majority of new mod-blocks simply don't have an EMC value. EMC could be something of a good baseline, but nothing more.

Failing that, there is always Industrial Craft's own IC Credits, which make for a good estimate of the value of Iron.

To awnser a few of em because I know some of the awnsers, unless tekkit changed some of em on me:

-Balkon's weapons I KNOW aren't encahntable at the moment (again, unless the Tekkit guys did make em enchantable). Shame, I know
-I told Maiko to make the throwing dynamite not damage the world, and if I remember right it's blast isn't strong enough to destroy ore anyway, so it'd not be very useful as a mining tool >_> if I was presumptuous, feel free to correct and ask for it to be changed back.
- I'm definately assuming Maiko will add some of the more obvious stuff as mentioned before by him/her, bronze items included, to McMMO's skilltree. Whether they'll be repairable or not, I got no idea.

The gem tools aren't repairable with mcMMO either.

The new explosives, I have no idea if they work with mcMMO. Probably not though.

Balkon's stuff isn't even recognized by mcMMO yet. It's possible, but it will take a bit of time and work and I'm starting to get a little busy here. I'll get them put in once I've got some free time. Don't know how repairing will work though, it should work with the bronze and gem tools... should. That's something I'll look into.

The Enchantability of new items is something else I have no idea about. Supposedly IC2 tools are enchantable, but I've never tried. Regardless, this isn't something I can change.

And yes, I was just suggesting the EMC values as a starting point. Really, it doesn't matter a whole lot to me how it goes, so if everyone else wants to do something else, that's fine by me too.

Hmm.

If you go to the third world's end, you may notice something peculiar: there are six return portals to the overworld.

This is because I killed six enderdragons there.

Only got five eggs, unfortunately, as one fell into its own portal on teleportation. I also spawned a thousand blocks away from the 0, 0 point the platform in the end is supposed to spawn, so it seems at least one of the mods, probably to do with teleport commands, has a rather interesting effect on the fight.


(Had a field day with the xp.


...still didn't actually get any good enchantments.)

I thought there was only one Enderdragon per Ender Realm?

You need to make sure you're using Tekkit build 3.1.1. I know there's been an update since then, but I haven't updated the server yet. Use the manual build selection option to specify 3.1.1.

If you've already done that... I don't know. Might be a network problem somewhere.

Welp, now that you've killed the Enderdragon Siranum Industries can get a foothold in the Ender Realm now.

The last time I entered the End in a Tekkit map (Single player), there was a giant floating ball of oil off in space somewhere. And the new map has its own End, made using Tekkit world generation. Don't know where the new stronghold is though.

Just thought I'd share that.

I'm having some trouble finding tekkit 3.1.1. to download. The main site offers 3.1.2.

I did have the Technic launcher downloaded from earlier, and even after selecting tekkit whenever I try to connect to the server it says: "Must have Forge build #136+ (4096 fix) to connect to this server"

Seeing as I'm pretty damn computer illiterate, anyone care to help?

This worked for me; On the login screen go into options and select the latest build from the dropdown menu.

Well... the error message is different. Now it's a big list of mods I need. Guess it's time to go hunting...
