RPG RPG Maker [うさぎめしや / usabox] MaiDenSnow Eve / MaiDenSnow Eve ~さる前夜祭~ (RE115762, RJ115762)

Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

Thanks for the answers Harley, I'd rather buy the game from the Japanese DLsite as it's usually kept more up-to-date and receives the updates faster.

Now to go on and create my perfect bayonet-wielding cute little exorcist <3

I am not sure if the dlsite version of this game is the latest available version. Dlsite states the last update date as 2015/08/30, but the latest available patch on the dev's website is 20160601.

Edit: I am a little out of the loop. Do I need to download every single patch from the dev's website? (I can see 5).

Just copy all the patch available in the dev's website to the patch folder in latest version of maidensnow eve (i don't know if there are latest version after 2015/08/30)

Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

Decided to pick up the game after a long number of months, having more fun with the english text being more updated and letting me understand more. There are still some questions that go with that though.

Whats the easiest way to get impregnated by a dame verte? I want to be able to dye her hair. It's hard enough finding one, but it's a whole 'nother thing trying not to get interrupted by her summons or other mobs on the floor. I went back to the forest and didn't even run into one till I found Wild Hunt.

It's frustrating that I can't bring my best gear because all of the raping is gonna break it or toss my weapon aside, let alone finding spare space in my storage to guard my good gear.

Also, there's two types of skirt for each outfit right? I can't seem to recall when my Sister Robe got a tight skirt or when my Gothic Bustier got a micro skirt instead of a pleated skirt. Does it have something to do with alchemy?

Each outfit has some kind of use right? It seems like the schoolgirl outfit is the best because it has the most slots, but I like the gothic bustier the most.

Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

The different skirts come from getting your skirt repaired by the cat

Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

You also get crotchless panties from the dwarf.

Repairing armor has a chance of turning into a smaller version (some fabric got lost during repairs).

To unlock the female monster stuffs, you impregnate them, not they you.

So first go futa.
Then I'd say get the "Please Rape Me" skill. (acceptable alternative includes the heart skill that after multiple uses let you go into heat + masturbation one)

After that just kill off her summons gun + evasion stance should work) and use it.

Gotcha, thanks!

I mean, I did manage to get impregnated by her and made it back to the church to buy the hair dye (it all wasn't easy though...). Maybe there's other unlockables that require me to be futa but as far as I know I didn't really care about them and play with the futa option off anyways.

So I went through the lightless path in the first area to rescue a girl. Ended up going through 20 floors just to stay alive, went from level 15-25, enemy levels scaled to scary heights and I ran into Wild Hunt twice/3 times, which I didn't even know you could run into an area's boss twice, much less in the same run when you kill them the first time.
1. What happens when I take this girl back to the church (I assume that's where I need to take her)
2. How well would a Shove Essence work on any gun?
3. To all of you who like 2H swords, is a Devil Bringer worth investing in around my range? I have a +11 Stun Falcon's Stake of Gigant. I'm guessing the former would probably be worse even if it were the same reinforcement level since it's not inherently enchanted, and even the ranged ice attack isn't enough to justify using one. (I also just realized I have no idea how I want to build my character even this far into the game)

Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

1. Girls rescued increase storage and inventory space. There's a limit but it's definitely useful for pack rats.

2. I don't play with the English interface, but I take it "shove" probably refers to the knockback essences. Up to player preference, I for one like having at least one in all of my guns since the further away someone stay out of melee range means the more time I have for the guns to do their work.

3. Two-handed weapons have huge damage as the big selling point. Is your build geared toward slaying foes in one blow? If so, does the damage of the sword in question do a better job than the one you have?

Weapons and armour get up to +20 maximum for the upgrade level. So it all comes down to how patient and rich players are.

Maybe playing with futa option off unlock it with different flag :x at least when I played with all options on I had to go futa first to unlock it.

According to an earlier post, if you manage to get the girls in all 6 lightless path (one for each boss zone) back to church, it'll adds 1 slot for your storage space and reset those 6 paths so you can get more.

Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

Oh, it increases inventory space too? That would be amazing, though the first girl I rescued only increased my storage and donation box space.

The knockback essence is great, but for 50% chance it doesn't happen as much as I expected it to, but that's probably before saving throws are calculated.

Meanwhile, the Devil Bringer's Ice Sabers are amazing (well, they look really cool at least), but still not sure how often they're activated, the attack's info seems to only tell me about its damage calculation. I guess I'll hold onto this as well as my falcon stake and long horn, better start grinding some reinforcement on it.

Edit: Okay, I see now it procs off of pierce attacks or skills (though it really only seems to work with Stinger and Sword Acute since Angel Hallow doesn't exactly have me facing the enemy every time). It's really cool to use point blank Acute to knock them back and then follow up at range with Ice Sabers.

What kind of essences are ideal for a 2-slot(max) two handed sword? I picked up a rebellion(god_slay2) from a Wild Hunt, but I am not sure how prominent god-types are outside of bosses. An enchantment type like Mithril or Silver sounds pretty good too, but right now I just put gigant on it as well. Resisting damage from god types sounds better anyways.

It seems fire/ice/spark essences add silver/enchant type to your weapon though. I also really liked the paralysis I put on one of my old rapiers (I was trying to find it again from the cat to salvage the essence), but that seems to work better with dual swords unless the status roll is only on the enchanted weapon's attack.

I know there's a lot of preference involved, but I noticed that for pretty much every monster, paralysis is ineffective, so I wondered if it would have been a waste of time and a slot to add it to my weapon.

It's great reading the opinions of players who play with the English interface and don't bother looking at the bestiary to see what enemies are weak to. 50% resistance to a debuff does not imply immunity, they're just harder to paralyse than others. Last I checked the wiki, 24 monsters out of 55 had resistance but none had immunity which is bettered by the much rarer confusion and sleep essences which don't drop red lvl2 essences in weapons.

If paralysis was ineffective against every foe, my build on the first page would have been dead several times over on the EX dungeon. It's because of paralysis, stun and other status ailments that it could survive. Unsurprisingly it doesn't work for your build since you're using 2H weapons which work more towards killing the opponent quickly with slow blows rather than smaller weapons which have more strikes.

Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

I actually did go through each monster I had info on in the bestiary, but like you said, I doubted the efficiency of applying statuses with a two handed weapon in particular, and while resistance doesn't imply immunity either, it could also have been statistically minuscule and a waste of a precious slot better suited to a different weapon.

I also over-estimated the amount of monsters resistant to paralysis, looking through the list again since I probably got caught up focusing with the enemies that have given me more trouble in the past. Thanks for helping me sort that out.

Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

Just so you know, opening futa is very bad against continuous battles or large group battles, since you would be down for ejaculating again and again until you game over.

Rescuing The Sacrifice alternate between increasing both the donation box and stash, and the donation box only. So every two sacrifices increases the donation box space by 2 and stash by 1, but never your own backpack.

If you wanna go for brute force and futa, why not go for Blute-inscription (the brown bear, or Grizzly Bear). It increase your STR and MHP by 50%. You can either get the inscribed equip on EX dungeon or getting Vag-Cummed once your Vitality reaches zero (beware of game over when you do this).

It's been a while. How to get inscription again?
I believe people said it requires harder mode in bonus dungeon.
I never find any. Only womb inscription.

Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

Are there any guides in English for this game? I have ignored it while it was half translated, but the current translation has the game mostly playable, so I'd thought I give it a go. The gameplay is pretty good but I find myself clueless of what equipment to look for, what to keep and what to throw. The inventory and storage are so limited. Also, is donation box just another way of storing equipment and inscriptions or is there a higher purpose for it?

For non-hard mode, get cummed inside while:
Not in a defeated state (HP above 0)
Stamina is at 0%
Harder mode I think just having a monster cum inside is enough.

For inscription on items you have to go in Border of Erosion.

Did you check out the one in the first post?

And yes donation box is just for storing stuffs, although until you unlock the portal to your room I'd recommend avoid using it as much as possible.

The one by Monceber? Yeah, but that is too basic... or the "Attack damage/accuracy/times" one? Couldn't understand much there

I mean, people are talking about different builds and essences and what equipment is good or not that kind of guide.

And you can get a portal to the starting room?? I didn't even know that...

I'm so bad currently that even a distance of 10 between two locations causes me problems. Let alone trying to complete a lightless path. Should I grind a lot or something? What am I doing wrong?

If you aren't at the point of hunting the Lords yet, ignore pretty much everything about builds or other difficult contents (the portal to your room is after hunting all the lords)

Just find a good weapon that you like to use (be it gun or melee, two-handed or dual-wield) and try to find one with good red essence or enough slots that you can customize it to be decent, and farm the cave entrance (buy bread from cat)<->dwarf shop (repair/enhance gear) route until you basically can faceroll that short route consistently.

The game doesn't really open up until you get to the church, before that it's more about preparing for the journey there.

Re: MaiDenSnow Eve

You guys will forgive me if I post in this thread with a question of something at the very beginning seeing as the thread is 152 pages long right?

I've done the in game tutorial, and in the tutorial area directly after leaving the house at the start with the little circles that pop up tutorial messages, there's also glowy items that you can collect that seem to get as scrolls

But I can't for the life of me find out where these items show up, and can't help but feel that they would be vitally uesful since I am hopelessly lost in this game.
