information about the game he's working on.
I'm pretty sure this is something he's working on, on his own after SnY took a different form after his partnership with Ansala.

The post is titled Mysterious Building. I definitely don't think it's SnY, but it still doesn't have an official title and I still don't know if it's actually happening as an individual game or if he's just venting his frustrations on to a separate side project.

The big thing he's proud of is the lighting engine, and that's it.
Girl's a headless monstrosity.

I'm growing more confident it's a separate game, because he's not using the monsters from SnY's previous demos in it.

It is confusing though because the MC's design is like the exact same.

to be fair, the protag doesn't look that different from the Fobs guy either. all around same character design, slightly different art style. but yes, the sprite is recycled.
 
Someone should reach out and have Zell clarify. He responds on Twitter I am fairly sure.

Zell's fantia is his own.
Ansala owns the ci-en.

If Zell's posting on fantia, it's his personal project. That's where FOBS is.
If it's posted on Ci-En, it's a combo with Ansala with Zell as the artist.

Like... I'm 95% sure Mysterious mansion is gonna get its own game title, or just be called Mysterious Mansion at the end of the day.
 
I wonder what's going to happen to the work wirth Ansala if he's building a project that's more in line with his original vision...

Will there be two SnYs out on the market? I hope so, at the very least Ansala's will likely be on Unity and thus in a playable state, unlike smelly pixel game maker that still runs like crap any time any amount of particles show up. Still though I don't blame Zell for using it, there's next to no tutorials for sidescrolling games on unity, or at least if they were they're all out of date or just full of if[] else[] spam.

Also for the time being it might be good to forget about this title for maybe 6 months or so, content is coming out very slowly and if Zell is potentially making two SnYs there'll be a long delay before either get released.
 
Sorry if this has been asked and answered before, but does anyone have advice on how (logistically) to get access to the demos on Fantia? Seems like the site requires a Japanese card; my bank card I even used for purchases in Japan isn't accepted, and it isn't connected to PayPal or anything like that. Haven't had this problem before with Fanbox, Ci-en, DLsite, etc.

To be clear, not asking for a download link or anything. I've supported zell on other platforms before and I intend to pay for the game, but afaik the most recent version is only available on Fantia which isn't working out for me atm.

There's been an update on Ansala's ci-en. It's still ongoing for sure.

Was that healthbar on the MC always there?
How's the MC supposed to deal with this girl? Harry potter invisibility hood up and sneak I'm guessing?

Personally, I've also lost a lot of energy for SnY, because sexually and gameplay wise it's moving in a direction I'm not fond of. That being said, I don't think the final game will be awful.
I do think it's sad that like... everyone's basically abandoned the thread tho.

Like damn, you'd think everyone hated Succubus Affection if SnY becoming more like Succubus Affection was a bad thing. And it's not completely like SA anyway. It's just closer to it. I doubt weird puzzle-like encounters with monster girls will disappear.
 
I've thought about my stance on this for a while and honestly, I don't really mind anymore if SnY does become like a stealthy version of SA. Like sure, Zell's content gameplay-wise is great, but 80% of the time I and most of everyone else are just in it for the art and animations. As long as 100% of the visual content is unique, I think I'll still probably buy it.
 
there is an new update on zells fantia and an new small demo its looking good
 
honestly, i kinda just like the creepy ghost girls. how it plays matters little, but the effect on the dev process is whats the concern. but if we get TWO creepy ghost girl games, and by the looks of it, zell isn't straining himself by doing it...seems like a win to me.

I'm able to use my non-japanese debit card on fantia just fine. Dunno what the issue could be. Have you switched the language for the site to english?

This is the message you get when using debit card; The card you enter has not supported 3D Secure (personal authentication). Use a 3D Secure supported credit card, or

such as PayPay and convenience store payment.
 
Has anybody been able to get this to work on Wine? I'm trying to figure out how to get it working on a Mac, but Wine crashes immediately when I try this game or FOBS.

might not be on Ci-en, just Fantia and Enty?
