Watched Baccano last night. Well... the first episode. It has left me giddy and also confused.

I started painting my current hentai project a couple of days ago and ever since I can't stop impressing myself. I really look forward to sharing it. :)

I ran my first game of D&D last nigh/this morning. Almost killed 3/4ths of the party accidentally, and the response was largely positive. Jailbreaks are good times, it looks like.

Especially when you have a druid in the party capable of casting a powerful enough 'stone to mud' spell to melt half the prison...

It was a level 1 party, I figured on account of I'd never done this before and we had a new guy I'd keep it simple as possible. Seemed to work out. Was a Priest, a Knight, a Rogue, and a Bard.

Accidentally, you mean you're not supposed to kill 3/4 of the party in a session.

Re: What made you feel giddy today?

you will eventualy come to learn, newbie, that all players are the bane of DMs. for every intricately layed plan and carefull scheme they will return you with abstract thinking and insane reasoning.

I was once part of a session where we didn't really fancy staying in the zombie infested city to try and save everyone, so we attached a small boat to the half celestial party member and just... flew away.

The players are our enemies, you would do well to remember that.

Players will always look for ways to bend/break the rules of the game.
It's true in video games, card games, and, most importantly, Role-playing games.
The players will always do something you didn't account for, think of, or otherwise predict.

I had one group of friends that decided 'yeah, fuck leaving the village, we're going to stick around.'
Their DM apparently got nervous as fuck, but let them anyways.
They wound up making a simple village a SERIOUS threat. It was apparently even more dangerous than some of the later dungeons.
By the time they left, they pretty much rofl-stomped through the campaign.

The simple things in life tend to do that, which is totally awesome.

Was updating my Geist soundtrack post, and therefore, read through conversations on my Geist game.

ST: Copper?
Me: Yeah?
ST: Could you stop upsetting the balance of power in my game by giving ANGELS to the Hunters?
Me: But I was only trying to help...

Or, more recently:
ST: Soooo, there's been a change of plans.
Me: Yeah?
ST: Yeah. So, you know how X. is Kale's long lost brother, right? So, since you stole their angel, they needed a substitute and since X. pissed off the Sabbat pack leader...
Me: Shit.
ST: Gets better. Gary and Jen's characters were there. And Gary video taped it. And then they decided to go show Kale.
Me: Ah, fuck. We're not going to be *capturing* the vampire anymore, are we?
ST: So, four in the morning, Steph's phone rings...

Check about a page or so back, or my post from about two weeks ago, at any rate, for the outcome to that. Not to mention plenty of times when my players have latched on to NPCs that I haven't though were going to be important and wind up being intigral parts of their plot or vice-versa, when they just don't get along with the NPC I want them to. Suppose it's a bit of a challenge, making the game work even when your players throw you for a loop, but yeah, it can get annoying at times. Could be why I rarely plan anything ahead.

Re: What made you feel giddy today?

I logged in and saw someone negative repped me for a post that I made, which pointed out how much of a dick they were. Seeing the dramatic jump in points downward and knowing the comment was "I am seething with anger right now" made me smile.

Re: What made you feel giddy today?

I love local businesses. It feels nice to go, feel like the workers actually care about me, and support the community. I took the day off today and went to get my car fixed this morning. The mechanics were totally nice people that listened and talked to me and made me feel like I wasn't being taken advantage of. That's really important to me because I don't know anything about cars. The last time I went to a big company like goodyear, they totally ripped me off, doing a bunch of repairs that I found out later weren't really necessary.

Not only that, I had to stay for a while to wait for repairs and they made me lunch! Homemade hot sandwiches! - I was totally blown away.
