You need to download and use all the patches, from TL1 to TL7 iirc.

Are you running the game from the root folder (LustFriend.exe), or are you playing the game from DEFAULT FOLDER% (Game.exe)? Because the latter is the translated one.

Due to a post in a different forum, I've decided to announce that I'm working on the translation again. I'm editing the remaining MTL parts of the game, the battle dialogue and the H-scenes, so that they're coherent English (though not 100% accurate to the original text). Here is what I've done so far, you can unzip the folder and copy the contents into your game's data folder.

thank you, you're really a good man :')
Why do you still don't have a patreon ? xD ( you already answer, I know... but damn do it ! )

Alright, here's another update to the translation. This is just a newer version of the Common Events file, but it should have all of the battle dialogue and the H-scenes of 4 succubi (Succubus, Honeybee, Mummy, Mushroom Girl) translated, and also some fixes to the Achievements.

So after Unpacking the game, I can't get it to launch. It just sits on this blank launch window.

I haven't encountered this error before, but some things you could try:
  • if your game isn't already in Japanese locale, change it to Japanese locale and unpack the game again
  • make sure you have the latest game version (1.08)
  • move the game folder to a different location
  • rename the game folder

I'm running into the same issue. I actually get a blank launch window after extracting, without applying the latest translation files. I have v1.08 of the game and am using 0.57 EnigmaVBUnpacker.

The game launches fine if I'm not using the unpacked version.

It's probably been said before, try removing "%" characters from the "%DEFAULTFOLDER%".

It's been a while, so I decided to give an update on how things are going.

When I was previously trying to finish off the translation, I did this by editing the game files directly, since this let me do the translation on my (newer, and thus faster) Mac. This turned out to be a bad idea since the resulting translation is less accurate and it's easy to make mistakes that stop the game from running. I ended up going back to using Translator++ on my PC, and re-translating everything I did in my last round of translating*. I'm now translating faster than before because of my growing knowledge of Japanese and other factors.

What does this ultimately mean? I've just started on translating the H-scenes and I was able to do two in one night. At this rate, and assuming nothing unexpected happens, I should finish the translation within a month.

*: i.e. the rest of the battle lines and the H-scenes. I haven't tried to re-translate the whole thing, that would be ridiculous.

That's awesome man. This game is really good and having nice lads like you put the effort to make it available to more people is just so great.

Here's another update on the progress of the translation: I've just finished the Busty Phantom x Succubus Maid scene and have roughly 1000 lines left to go, so I should probably be done with the translation in a week. It might take me a day or two longer to apply the finishing touches and have a translation patch ready for release.

Also, other changes I've made are:
  • Changing the names of three succubi to be more accurate: Snail Girl -> Escargot, Kitsune -> Youko, Lazy Succubus -> Rogue Succubus
  • Removing all Japanese honorifics, to be consistent with =Together='s translation and my own later translations
  • Fixing various mistakes

i'm just wondering about your Signature, so those that tag as "complete" are translation that have everything including the scene while those that still in WIP means mostly story scene still work in progress is it correct?
pardon if this already answered before

This is something that actually changed over time. I initially had this and the other full-sized game translations marked as Complete when they still had unedited MTL in them. I changed my mind after seeing feedback on various sites.

I might get around to finishing off Succubus Puttel as well (the rest of Succubus in Wonderland is Ophanim's job), but that'll come after I fully translate the LustGrimm Again demo.
