Re: Fallout: New Vegas CYOA

Cheryl reaches for her 9mm pistol and draws it, running for the safety of the rock and firing off three rounds at one of the raiders, managing to catch him in the left shoulder. When he recovered, he cursed, muttering something to the leader and sliding down the cliff face. As he approached her position, Cheryl popped up to fire on him thrice more, this time landing one just to the right of his mouth and impacting his jaw joint, then tearing through the side of his head, taking a good portion of his scalp with it, causing him to recoil in pain, and drop his gun as he drops to the ground, rolling and screaming. The leader takes aim at Cheryl, and fires a shot, barely missing by inches. Cheryl pants as she tries to calm herself, knowing full well that the man she shot was going to be in agonizing pain for the next few hours, or until he was shot dead.

A) Stay in cover, focus on the leader.

B) Try to grab the other gang member's gun, then charge their position like a badass.

C) Break from cover for another piece of cover while shooting your weapon blindly.

D) Alternatives.

Re: Fallout: New Vegas CYOA

Cheryl begins to calm herself as she can feel her heartbeat pounding in her chest. The whole world begins to slow as she begins to stand up and turn around, aiming at the leader of the gang, the lackey firing his pistol like a madman. Cheryl opens fire, her first 2 shots hitting the leader in the base of the chin, while her third bullet goes low and hits the collarbone, and her fourth misses completely. Her fifth, however, impacts directly between the eyebrows, causing the leader to drop dead as Cheryl turns to fire on the last gang member, but her gun jams when she fires. As it jams, she ducks back down into cover, her world slowly resuming normal speed. Her gun was now worthless for the moment, and the other member had slid down the side of the cliff and was now advancing on her position, so she had to do something.

A) Make a break for the 10mm and shoot him with it

B) Wait for the thug to get close, then engage in hand-to-hand combat.

C) Throw the gun at him at mid range then charge him.

D) Alternatives

A

It's not that great a gun, but the trusty 10mm should do it's job given the current situation.

B. It could go wrong, but dashing for the gun is just asking to get shot.

Re: Fallout: New Vegas CYOA

Cheryl lies in wait, flipping her gun around in her hand and waiting for the last of the thugs to approach her. As he neared the rock, she could hear his footsteps, and before she gave him the chance to outflank her, shot out from around the rock, tackling him to the ground as he fired off a shot from his pistol, the shot going into her armor above the shoulder, then exiting the other side as she groans, slamming the pistol into his temple and caving in part of his skull as he loses consciousness, most likely never to wake up again. She stands, holstering the pistol for now and gripping her wounded shoulder, praying the bullet hadn't nicked an artery.

She loots the gang member for a total of 50 caps and a Stimpak, which she decides to save for later, as well as looting his pistol and the three clips he had. She also tears some of his clothes off to make a makeshift bandage to cover the wound in her shoulder. She finds the second pistol, and decides to holster it on her left hip, as a good back-up. The other gang member, who is now missing half of his head, is begging for mercy, and grasping at his missing jaw bone. He is trying to find his gun but fails, begging for her to end his suffering.

A) Put him out of his misery and take his stuff.

B) Leave him there, and move onward to the north.

C) Patch him up and bring him with you to Novac.

Re: Fallout: New Vegas CYOA

Cheryl gulps as she draws her new 10mm pistol and aims it at his head, turning her head away and breathing shallow breaths. She had killed many people before, but never performed a mercy killing or an execution. She could swear she heard him quiet down, then stop gurgling as she aimed her gun, before she pulled the trigger and ended his life.

She holsters the gun and stares down at him, signing as the wind begins to kick up dust around her, and she kneels down to rifle through his possessions. He has a spare clip of 10mm ammo, another 50 caps, and a strange concoction that looked like an inhaler of Jet strapped to a can of spray paint. She pockets the items, and moves onward towards Novac.

On the way, she passes a Ranger station, and waves to the NCR rangers, who wave back, one of them looking through a pair of binoculars at her, then down a canyon that splits off and heads eastward. The sun was starting, to set, and Novac wasn't very far now.

Votes:
A: Keep going for Novac.
B: Stay at the Ranger station for the night.
C: Check out the canyon to the East.
