Hmm, this thread will do. It made me laugh, and it fits better than the news thread.
Someone I know discovered something amusing recently. The MangaFox website, which has recently greatly increased in popularity ever since OneManga had over half it's content taken down, has a fairly nifty search feature. The advanced search allows you to turn on and off filters for the various genres/categories. Apparently the female user base has been hard at work collecting and uploading.
(The search options don't always show at first when loading the page these links. If you actually feel the need to see the search criteria yourself, clicking refresh seems to fix it.)
Searching without any input returns the sites entire stock. Showing at the bottom of the page...
You must be registered to see the links
Ticking the filter options to search only the Smut category with no other key words or restrictions returns,
You must be registered to see the links
Leaving that 'only smut' filter on, if you then ask it to filter out all Shoujo (Girls manga, or manga aimed at girls) from the existing list it returns,
You must be registered to see the links
Next filtering out any Josei (ladies manga, or manga aimed at a more mature female audience) it cuts the list down to,
You must be registered to see the links
Finally, filtering out both Yaoi and Shounen-Ai (Gay and boy-love) leaves the list with a tiny,
You must be registered to see the links
That 39 nine out of 330 "smut" manga, not targeted at females or containing Yaoi. I think most forum members here accept that females in general are a bit more sexually minded than they like to let on, but the actual scale of the numbers gap there surprised me.
