FUCKSHITPISSCUNTCOCKSUCKERMOTHERFUCKERTITS!

I can't believe I forgot to post this... and if I didn't, well, fuck it.

There's an emulator coming out for Shadowbane. For those of you who do know what game I'm talking about and enjoyed it, rejoice! For those who don't know what I'm talking about, Shadowbane is an open-world free-for-all PvP MMORPG. If you absolutely love WoW, you may have a hard time liking this game. You can be killed by anyone, at any time - provided they have the right gear/skills to kill you, of course. This is not a game you play by yourself; if you want to stay alive, you learn to love your guild and team-mates. If you try to play Rambo, you will die, and you will die QUICK.

ANYWAYS.

On with the linkage:
Cool, I used to play that game.

Re: Multiplayer Gaming

Been playing League of Legends as of late, the single-program version of DotA that doesn't suck eggs. I've been seeing a few trends that I not only find alarming, but utterly infuriating-

1. Ninja/Minmaxing Heroes

These guys pretty much work the most they can to maximize a single stat (common is attack speed, though I did see a player on Warick who had done lifesteal buffs to the point he was stealing more then you could damage) and then raping player hero after player hero, leaving the crumpled bodies of about 3 champions without a scratch. This isn't too hard to beat though, especially if you include a character like Ashe who has slowing skills, and is pretty decent with shoot and run outta range. Though eventually if you evade players enough it leads to...

2. Ganking/Hording with the best player

Easily ten times more annoying then a minmaxer is a minmaxer with about 3 other champions around him or her wanting a piece of his glory. Even the most skilled microer cannot deal with a galloping horde of heroes effectively, especially as these low leveled prats are often ust enough of a distraction to let the uberhero rush in and slay you all before you can counter the real threat. A push or two that's reflected with teamwork I can understand, but constantly traveling in a pack is like camping- it's either really fun or really infuritating.

Re: Multiplayer Gaming

While those two things are annoying, they can usually be countered by playing with a pre-made group and good communication skills. Make sure you call MIAs, make sure you don't run off somewhere that you probably shouldn't be going alone, and be just as annoying as they are.

If you really want to annoy them, a good Champion to stay alive with is , with his ability to reduce CC and his annoying-as-fuck Cleaver. Plus his passive regens .3% of his health each second, so combine that with HP/HP Regen Items/Runes, and you're set.

Of course, if you like to solo, or just like to play low-Hp, high-damage Champions, best strategy is to never wander off alone.

Yes, some of the champions are pains in the ass, but these are DotA players, even the people who came up with the game.

Personally, I think we have enough champions for now (though I am looking forward to trying the Gargoyle one) and what we need are a couple of maps. I'd really like a Desert map. Nasus needs a home :(

You mean they're still making champions, even if I only see 3-5 consistantly?

Joking aside, I am getting good, mostly with Sivir as a crowd-clearer and surprise shiruken tosses and Cho'gal after he's gotten Feast charges. Was working with Ashe yesterday due to desperately looking for a Yi-counter >,>;

agreed though, need more maps. as for grouping up with premade groups, kinda hard when I only got RK to work with and he's usually not on when I am. that and only level 7...

Re: Multiplayer Gaming

You still play Sivir? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Ah, joking aside, I do love Sivir, she was the first champion that just felt... right for me to play. Then they nerfed her to hell and back, and all that's left is a shadow of her former self. Sure, she can still kill minions like nobody's business, and she's great for being an Aura mule... hell, I can still manage to play a tank build with her... she's just not as great as she was before. They nerfed her too much.

Ashe is not a good Yi counter. Not to say she can't, but his Ultimate makes your slowing effect useless, so unless you have YOUR Ultimate up, he's going to get you if he's a good Yi player.
A good Yi Counter off the top of my head is Rammus. His Ball Curl, Ultimate, and a Thorn Mail make Yi cry.
Taric, Sion, and Singed would also work, the first two because of their stun, Singed because of his 'purple river', as my friend calls it, as well as his throw.

Re: Multiplayer Gaming

Sivir was my first champ purchased >,> I really want Kog'maw though, he was the first I ever played and I did ok with that, though that's waiting for the next time I nip down to 7/11 for gamer cards.

My champion list has grown a bit though. Sivir, Cho'gal, Kayle, and Ashe, and I plan to get Solak due to my turtle/supportive kinda playing, then from there it's saving and runes.

Well apparently he's very popular there, it wasn't just one person recording that, there's several accounts.

Re: Multiplayer Gaming

I recently tried to get back to it. They added so many more bots and I realize that I'm no longer the Boomer god that I was years ago.

Ugh, more bots? Way to nerf random. There was no need to add more.

Playing Castlevania; Harmony of Despair.

It's an alright game when you play with friends. Although playing with random people just ends you up with a bunch of dudes with the best equipment ending the stage in two minutes.

Re: Multiplayer Gaming

I'm currently signed up for the World of Tanks closed beta.
A multiplayer with tanks as combatants? Can't go wrong with that:
