Actually the poisons are very different. They both keep involving themselves with humans, funnel webs by walking into peoples homes, wanderers by shipping rides on produce, hence their nickname "The Banana Spider."
I don't know if their contact with humans or if their own spider population is greater, but I believe wandering spiders are actually more aggressive and result in more bites, and that usually the aggression by the funnel web is because it's used to a more indoor environment, while outdoor spiders will take to scattering away if possible. Fully researched spider bites very rarely show that the spider is an actual contributing cause of death. I'm fairly certain there's been no real documented death since the release of antivenin for the sydney funnel web, and in the 53 years of research before that point, there was only about 13-14. It's venom is considered more powerful, but like I've said in the past, venoms do completely different things and although banana spiders often use dry bites and is said to contain enough venom to kill a young adult, it also has the regrettable neurotoxin that can cause priapism, involuntarily maintaining an erection in the adult so long that they're sex life and condition could permanently be destroyed or effected greatly.
