[WIP - Full] SHRIFT Translation Version 2.0 (Machine and Manual Translation)


Is there a difference between version 8.06 and 8.07? I have the 8.06 version of the game but have been playing EX4 with no troubles so far, wondering if it’s gonna end up being a problem later.

Loosely translated from the ReadMe changelog.
  • Added five entries to the fanart section
  • Fixed some typos
  • Fixed a crash bug when using the Friendship Power drink
  • Changed some stuff in the YouTube links section
  • Added a few entries to "related videos
The patcher itself shouldn't have any problems, but you will run into the occasional untranslated line because it's looking for the lines of 8.07 and if it runs into any that don't match up (because they were changed from 8.06 to 8.07) it skips them and leaves them as default moon runes.

What version of the game are you running? You can find it by looking in the file called "更新履歴.txt", it should have the current installed version at the top.
 
Do not ask for a game for ANY reason. Asking for or alluding to links to game downloads is prohibited. Failure to follow this rule will result in an immediate 1 week ban.

So I should be fine to keep playing without worrying too much right? Just in case, do you know where to get 8.07? Can’t find it anywhere

I am not one that should have the right to talk about this, but considering this is a 5~6 buck game that got free DLCed into almost double the original amount of content, do consider buying it ;)
 
EX4 was such a blast! I love this game and all its cuteness and drama and themes of friendship so much. Congrats on hitting such a big milestone, and thanks for all the hard work translating! The only big bug I saw after patching v8.07 was that hovering over any of the fanart causes the game to crash. Also I couldn't interact with the last crystal in the foxxo room, but I assume from the one item's description that it's because black kitsune isn't yet implemented?

My version is 8.06. I get the error after pressing the start button when game loads up and there is the clock ticking sound. It would continue ticking while this error is shown. This error really only occurred after using the patch as v3.3 seems to have worked with no problem.
 
Man I am so glad i waited for the translation before playing EX4, this was such a blast

Titanboa, Nina, and Mother Rabbit's greetings in My Room are similarly untranslated. I assumed those lines were already on the to-do list, along with the last few mementos ("mother" and the dlc).

I was able to beat EX4 only because Abaddon couldn't grab me a second time. Then I checked again — let Abaddon grab me twice, and got the same error.

This thread is for translation discussion only.
Anyone here got a save file on pure run right before the final vanilla boss? Want to get bakc into the game but don't feel like beating it all over again.

Oh, by version I meant of the SHRIFT game itself rather than the patch (though I can understand where the confusion is coming from). There's a file in your SHRIFT directory called "更新履歴.txt" that has the version number of your game at the top.

I don't really have a ton of time right now, so I'll fill in the changelog later. There is only one thing of note:

We had to use a ton of custom scripting in this patch to handle and properly translate EX4's new systems. In Marion's weapon switch menu, the [Equipped] tag may be cut off. Sorry we couldn't fix it in time, but I felt that it was better to release it anyways with what we had instead of delaying the patch more.

Nice Try, Bangladesh man, but we don't have credit cards here.
 
So I bought the game and downloaded the patch, but when I try to run it the patch tells me "To run this application, you must install .NET." Followed the link and downloaded it, and it's still giving me the same message.
Anyone that can help?
EDIT; Nevermind, starting working after a restart.
