ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

Well, the arena will be using , so Spleef will be out for its use. A separate Spleef arena will be needed. Since MobArena uses cuboids, a rectangular arena would be best, though Nunu's proposed a spherical one in the sky, where the cuboid's corners won't impact anything.

Size should be no less than 32x32, but not too big. There should also be a small location somewhere for a lobby for fighters and another area for spectators. There should be no access at all to the arena, you get in by teleporting. Same with the lobby area. The spectator area can be accessed from outside normally, as long as it's not possible to enter the arena or lobby from it.

Should there be hazards or no?

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

Hazards... would be good yes, but not pits or ways to fall out of the arena.

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

Was more thinking lava, hills, fire, water, soulsand, and so on. I know that's some pretty expensive material, but it's a thought.

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

Alright, got two new examples of plugins running.

One, is , using fences and redstone you can make working, moving portcullis.

Another is , hatches now work as floodgates, letting water through when open.

Both pretty simple, and both redstone compatable.

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

Ok, word of warning, the server is lagging to death or something feirice. both me and Strike got lagkilled by skeletons cause it's takin a fuckton of time for the server to respond. Might be best to not hold something expensive before ya start off

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

It's running fine for me at the moment.

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

Firstly, I'd like to apologise to Occam for accidentally leaving that iron pick with a few uses taken out of it in my stock. That was one of my personal picks. Didn't realised I'd dropped it in the box. My bad.

Secondly...

I'd like to ask how the hell you getting this pick justifies bombing my shop into oblivion, along with the access way to Oni and Maikos Shop, a large chunk of the ground bellow it, and the misc storage chest contained inside which was packed full of my other general belongings and all the spare fencing for the rest of the market? Do you know how long it takes to set up 18 remote store signs?

Not only do you destroy my shop, but you rigged it in a trap to kill my customers? Aurani was blown away upon entering, and has lost inventory because of it.

I'd intended to quickly log on before bed, and head to my shop to fetch a diamond pick to leave at your place as the refund you'd asked me for. Instead I find this.

Needless to say the refund is off.

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

Jesus christ, that's some fucking damage. I had a message from Burr on MSN saying that he blew up your shop, but I didn't expect it to be that bad. I was expecting a wall or something to be gone. I personally think it would now be best if Gunpowder is turned off, if it can be so shit like this doesn't happen again.

Also, I went on ther server briefly only to find one of my wolves killed. There were four at the top of my tower and now only three remain. Whoever's pissing with my stuff please stop.

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

he does seem to want to make reperations pretty badly though, seems he's put as much of the shop back together as he can so far.

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

A small correction to the above post. It wasn't an iron pick he'd bought, but a diamond pick. How the pick came out damaged I don't understand though. The main damage itself won't be too hard to repair. It's just a pain to have to set up the 18 store signs and link them to their chests again. I think I'll move all my stock a bit closer to the store this time.

The main material loss (spare whatever Aurani might have lost) was the single chest full of stacks of cobble, gravel, netherack and a stack of fences. Nothing of particular value really. I think the lesson here is that pranks involving explosives, are generally a bad idea.

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

In my experience, explosives in general are a bad idea. Every server I've been on where TNT is in use, something inevitably gets blown up that shouldn't have been.

One example that comes to mind was on a private server used by myself and a group of friends. A prank war that started as encasing someone in logs while AFK escalated to TNT use almost immediately, resulting in the buildings of both parties being blown off the face of existence. The admin then installed to stop it from happening again.

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

I like explosives, they're needed for the cannons on the airship :3

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

I like explosives also, they're fun and easy to wear.

Err, I mean they clear caves a lot faster than my pick can.

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

So I used a rune teleporter to head off someplace, and the destination chunk didn't load. Tried to log off and back on to fix it, and it's now not letting me on.

Short story shorter, I think I'm buggered until Maiko changes my login point. I've seen it done, do you know how Maiko?

EDIT: Don't know if you fixed it or not, but it's letting me on now. In other news, that whole inventory worth of good stuff i lost all those days ago was still there, yay! finally got back to it, and it was all there, it's made my day and re-affirmed my love for this game. hopefully i won't have another reason to ragequit for a while again now.

Bugger... I've had that happen myself, although I had my home set at the time; while the teleporter led to an infinite unloaded-chunk pit, using the /home command put me back somewhere normal. Once I logged out on solid ground and logged back in, the game worked fine again. (A good note to anyone else who encounters the issue, that.) I would have suggested trying /sethome and then /home while in the pit, although that might have just screwed things up more, but of course now you can't even log in.

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

Whoever it was that bought my first block of ice, thank you for wasting the time collecting it and cleaning up the flood made by placing it in the middle of the shop so it melts.
Joke's on you though for wasting your money.
In other news, the mining/repair farmer I spent 20min setting up doesn't work, the mined cobble yields no xp and the repair has no effect unless the tool is moderately damaged. Time to spend roughly 10min mining up all that obsidian.

Sponges have been restored to their Classic mode functionality now, and are craftable. Five sand and four string in an X pattern makes one block of sponge.

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

And now I can make my sponge tower in the middle of the ocean.

Re: ULMF Minecraft Server (Address can be found on first post)

Wait, is the server back!? -goes to note down IP address-
